Laguna Humantay (Route)

Operating Schedule: The journey begins with a hotel pick-up at 4:00 am, followed by a 2-hour drive to the district of Mollepata, where a delicious and nutritious breakfast awaits.

After breakfast, the tour continues through the stunning landscapes of this Peruvian region for an hour until reaching the village of Soraypampa, situated at an altitude of 3,900 meters. From here, the exciting hike to the Humantay Lagoon begins, a breathtaking turquoise lake nestled at the base of the snowy Salkantay.

During the 2-hour trek, the group will ascend to 4,200 meters, where a magnificent view of the Humantay Lagoon can be enjoyed, offering a unique opportunity to admire the surrounding landscapes.

After exploring and learning about the Humantay Lagoon, the group returns to Soraypampa to board the bus back to Mollepata, where a delightful buffet lunch is served. Following lunch, the journey continues back to the city of Cusco.

Finally, after nearly 13 hours, guests will be dropped off at the main square, with an estimated arrival time in Cusco at 5:00 pm.

1. Cusco
The tour begins with a 4:00 am pick-up from hotels located in the city center of Cusco.

2. Mollepata
After pick-up, the journey continues in a van for 2 hours to the Mollepata district, where breakfast is served around 6:30 am.

3. Soraypampa
Following breakfast, the tour proceeds in the van for another hour to the village of Soraypampa. From this village, a 2-hour hike leads to Humantay Lake.

4. Humantay Lake
After a 2-hour hike, the group arrives at the stunning Humantay Lake, where they will spend an hour enjoying its beauty before returning on a nearly 2-hour hike to the bus.

5. Mollepata District
After visiting the magnificent Humantay Lake, it’s time to return to the Mollepata district for a delicious buffet lunch.

6. Cusco
After lunch, the journey back to Cusco begins, with the final stop for everyone at the Plaza de Armas in Cusco.
