- Humantay Lake - At 4:00 am, our transportation will pick guests up from their hotel or Airbnb. The journey begins with a drive to the quaint village of “Mollepata,” which takes approximately three hours by car. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy breakfast before proceeding to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike, where they can admire the stunning Apurimac River.
The hiking instructions will be provided, and the trail to Humantay Lake, which takes about 1.5 hours on average, will commence. The altitude reaches 13,779 feet (4,200 meters). A tour guide will lead the hike, so no navigation system is necessary.
Upon reaching the destination, guests will be greeted by breathtaking views of the mountains and glaciers, along with the shimmering lake. The tour guide will share interesting facts and historical insights. Guests are welcome to explore the area around the lake and capture as many photos as they wish. Afterward, the group will descend the mountain and return to “Mollepata” for lunch, before departing for Cusco and arriving at San Francisco Plaza (main square) around 4:00 p.m.
