Here, begin the hike to Humantay Lake located at 4200 meters above sea level (13,779 feet).
- Humantay Lake - The pickup from the hotel will be between 3:30 am and 4:00 am, depending on the location. Then, travel by private transport to Mollepata, in the lush Apurimac River valley, approximately a 2-hour drive from Cusco. After Mollepata, continue for about 45 minutes more to enjoy a quick breakfast and recharge before the hike.

Nevado Humantay, a snow-capped mountain featuring live glacier tongues, carries a unique charm where you can clearly witness the ‘seracs’ (dense snow with hints of blue and green), natural fissures, icy grottoes with both stalactites and stalagmites of ice. The site also boasts the biodiversity of its local flora and fauna. It is one of the protecting snow descents of the city of Cusco.
The thawing process has led to the creation of Humantay lake or cocha, an idyllic lagoon with turquoise waters accentuating its scenic beauty. The distinct color of the water can be attributed to the minerals found inside it, and it has a maximum depth of about 4 meters.

Incredible Experience - An amazing experience, the place is beautiful, it is worth knowing, they were super friendly and super attentive always on the lookout and supported me as I brought a bit of difficulty walking 💓 definitely recommend them and I hope to return again

Of the best - The Service of Peru Andes Top unbeatable, beginning with the punctual transport in the early hours, at approximately 4 am, until the arrival at the breakfast point, unbeatable food, the omelette of the best, also attended us with local drinks to placate the sea of high; later the guide to the summit and very methodical lagoon, assisted the friends who could not carry their luggage, and the buffet lunch also very good back.

Spectacular!!!!! - It is a spectacular place the climb is not very difficult and less so with the guides who help you and it is worth being on top and enjoying the place

Spectacular!!! - A minitreking of one and a quarter hours very goodoo!!! I recommend having a minimum training... the climb is a little exhausting... the lagoon is at 3850mts and the body is not very comfortable. Maybe the experience is worth it!!! The agency very attentive. Recommended.

Difficult communications with Peru Andes Top - When I bought my excursion from Peru Andes Top, I had to indicate the name of my hotel. I was in an airbnb, so I wanted to make sure that I could get caught up. After 3 emails, a text, a phone message and some Whatsapp messages, where on each occasion I repeated my contact details and the address of the airbnb, it was only the day before the excursion at 5:44 pm that I was rewritten. I finally got to chat with Max and Edwin. The latter asked me to send him a Google maps of where I am staying. I explained to him that the address I gave him is easily searchable by Google maps without problems. I wasn't equipped to send it to him.
The next morning at 4:10 am, day of the excursion, I receive a Whatsapp from the guide or driver who asks me the same information that I had already given by several means and several times to the agency, to Max and Edwin. I am again asked for a print of Google maps, which I was not able to provide. They finally found me anyway.
As for the excursion itself, everything went well despite the ugly temperature of the day (rain, fog and snow). It should be noted that contrary to what was stated in the announcement, the level of difficulty is rather medium to difficult, especially as you climb a steep mountain in mud, snow and donkey poop. Once at the lake, the view was not at all as expected, the fog hid the mountain and the lake did not give off the colors it should have seen the absence of sun. Despite this, I have to acknowledge the good work of our guide Nilton, I was the only one of the group who did not speak Spanish fluently and he was able to do bits of it in English. Nilton made sure that all his condoritos were able to get back and forth.
Last disappointment, the excursion was supposed to end at everyone's hotels, but we were dumped near downtown Cusco. I lived in San Blas, a good half hour's walk away.

NOT AS PROFESSIONAL AS IT SHOULD BE. - Not asking for a refund. But please, fellow travelers, avoid at all costs this supplier. There are tons of other companies in Cusco that offer the Humantay Lake Day trip, avoid the headache of dealing with this SO unprofessional people.
This is my story:
I booked this tour with at least 10 days in advance to my trip to Peru. I paid. I got payment confirmation. I flew to Cusco. And it was midnight previous to the tour and I had not received ANY communication/ confirmation from the supplier regarding the hour-place they would pick me (if the would pick me at my hotel as they have offered in viator). It had to make a 45 mins long distance call from Peru to Viator offices in USA to explain my case. Viator helped as much as they could, but the supllier wouldn`t answer the phone, e-mail or whatsapp. It was up until around 1 am that I received a mail with ONE line: Pick up is 4:30 am in your hotel". What?. I decided to cancel. No thank you.

Beautiful place, terrible experience with tour guide - Our tour stared, bad since the beginning, the roads to get there are very bad, and the bus drivers are very unconsidered, they drive like if they are transporting rocks, they don't think they have human beings in those buses, the speed, and pass cars on the curves with precautions. In the other hand our tour guide Christian was just rude and unprofessional, just telling us to hurry, hurry, no time to enjoy the nature or the beauty of the outdoor. My husband been so white skin wanted to put sunscreen in his arms and Christian was just like hurry, hurry, we only have 1 hr and 30 min. to get to the top, don't stop, and waist your time, later in the hike I stop to drink some water and he was telling me not to drink water because I was going to be to heavy. And another opportunity that he had he told me that I didn't know how to hike. They have these poor horses they try to get you to rent for 80.00 Soles one way. So what I see, they try to get you tired to make you pay for that extra service. My experience with this company was not enjoyable that all.
Do the tour, but NOT with them.
