• Cusco - The journey begins in Cusco at 4:00 AM with a convenient hotel pick-up, followed by a comfortable drive to Mollepata. Upon reaching Mollepata (2,900 m), a traditional Peruvian breakfast will be served to energize participants for the adventure ahead. After breakfast, the journey continues for about 45 minutes to Soraypampa (3,870 m), where the majestic Salkantay (6,230 m) and Humantay (5,250 m) mountains come into view for the first time. A guide will provide a briefing on the route and safety instructions before the hike begins.
• Humantay Lake - The hike to Humantay Lake is approximately 2 hours (3 km) with a moderate ascent and some steeper sections. The path leads through rocky terrain, Andean vegetation, and crystal-clear streams, offering fresh mountain air. Upon reaching Humantay Lake (4,200 m), the stunning turquoise waters fed by glacial melt will captivate visitors. There will be opportunities to take photos, relax, and walk around the lake to enjoy different perspectives. A guide will conduct a small coca leaf ritual in honor of Pachamama and the Apus, following Andean tradition.
• Soraypampa - After enjoying the beauty of the lake, the descent back to Soraypampa takes about 1.5 hours, with continued views of snowy peaks and Andean valleys. Upon arrival at Sky Camp, a chef will prepare a delicious local lunch in a spectacular mountain setting. After lunch, the return trip to Cusco allows time for rest and reflection on the incredible experience. Arrival in Cusco is expected around 6:30 PM, concluding a memorable day exploring one of the most breathtaking places in the Andes.
