Cusco - The Cusco to Manu tour kicks off early, with a departure from your hotel in Cusco. All transportation is arranged, ensuring a comfortable journey towards the picturesque town of Paucartambo.

Paucartambo - Upon reaching Paucartambo, a hearty breakfast awaits to energize you for the day. The journey continues as we ascend to the Acjanaco mountain pass, offering a stunning panoramic view of the expansive Amazon Rainforest below—your first awe-inspiring sight of the tour.

As the tour progresses, we enter the Manu Cloud Forest, a lush and enchanting environment where we pause to spot the elusive cock-of-the-rock, Peru’s national bird. Along the way, there may be sightings of other intriguing species like capuchin monkeys, vibrant parrots, and more.

Atalaya - The journey then leads deeper into the Manu Jungle as we descend towards Atalaya, located along the banks of the Alto Madre de Dios River. Arrival is around noon, followed by a relaxing lunch by the river.

Manu National Park - Post-lunch, there’s an opportunity to explore the region’s diverse flora and fauna. By late afternoon, arrival at the TREEHOUSE INN, a unique and serene lodge nestled in the jungle, is expected. Once settled, a delightful dinner is served at the lodge.

As night falls, an exciting night walk is planned, exploring the jungle in search of its nocturnal creatures. It’s a perfect way to end the first day in Manu, with the jungle’s sights and sounds creating an unforgettable experience.

Discovering the Rich Biodiversity of Manu

Manu National Park - On the second day, an early start takes us to the nearby Macaw Clay Licks. After a 20-minute walk, a stunning display of various birds gathering at the clay licks can be witnessed. Following this, a hearty breakfast is served back at the lodge.

Next, a two and a half-hour jungle walk is planned, delving into Manu’s rich flora and fauna. The guide will introduce medicinal plants, and there may be encounters with larger animals like tapirs.

Lunch is served back at the lodge, followed by some downtime to relax during the hottest part of the day. As evening approaches, a night walk around Caiman Lake is planned to spot nocturnal wildlife before returning to the lodge for dinner. The night is spent at the TREEHOUSE INN, nestled in the heart of the jungle.

Manu Jungle Experience

Manu National Park - The day begins with a delicious breakfast to prepare for the adventures ahead. A three-hour walk through a private reserve follows, an ideal setting for wildlife spotting. A unique feature of this experience is a small mountain nestled within the rainforest, offering the chance to climb and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding jungle.

After descending from the mountain, a return to the TREEHOUSE INN is planned, where a delicious lunch made with local ingredients awaits. Following a restful nap, a search for howler monkeys along the shores is planned.

Finally, a return to the lodge for dinner is scheduled. For those seeking more adventure, there’s an option to join another night walk in the Manu Jungle, exploring the nocturnal wonders of the rainforest.

Return to Cusco

Manu National Park - On the final day of the Cusco to Manu Tour, a hearty breakfast at the TREEHOUSE INN is enjoyed, savoring one last taste of the Amazon’s unique flavors. The journey back to Atalaya follows, offering a final opportunity to soak in the sights of the Manu Amazon and cherish the last glimpses of this incredible journey.

Paucartambo - Upon reaching Atalaya, private transport awaits to take us back to Cusco. As the journey through changing landscapes unfolds, there’s time to reflect on the incredible experiences shared in Manu.
