Paucartambo - Upon reaching Paucartambo, a hearty breakfast awaits to energize you for the day. The journey continues as we ascend to the Acjanaco mountain pass, offering a stunning panoramic view of the expansive Amazon Rainforest below—your first awe-inspiring sight of the tour.

As the tour progresses, we enter the Manu Cloud Forest, a lush and enchanting environment where we pause to spot the elusive cock-of-the-rock, Peru’s national bird. Along the way, there may be sightings of other intriguing species such as capuchin monkeys and vibrant parrots.

ATALAYA Kosñipata Paucartambo Cusco - The adventure then leads deeper into the Manu Jungle as we descend towards Atalaya, located along the Alto Madre de Dios River. Arrival is around noon, followed by a relaxing lunch by the river.

Manu National Park - Post-lunch, there is an opportunity to explore the region’s diverse flora and fauna. By late afternoon, we reach the TREEHOUSE INN, a unique and serene lodge nestled in the jungle. After settling in, a delightful dinner is served at the lodge.

As night falls, an exciting night walk awaits, exploring the jungle to discover its nocturnal creatures. This is the perfect way to end your first day in Manu, with the jungle’s sights and sounds creating an unforgettable experience.

Discovering the Rich Biodiversity of Manu

Manu National Park - On the second day, an early start takes us to the nearby Macaw Clay Licks. After a 20-minute walk, a spectacular display of various birds at the clay licks is witnessed. Following this, we return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast.

Next, a two and a half-hour jungle walk delves into Manu’s rich flora and fauna. The guide introduces medicinal plants, and there may be encounters with larger animals like tapirs.

Lunch is served back at the lodge, followed by some relaxation during the hottest part of the day. As evening approaches, a night walk around Caiman Lake offers a chance to spot nocturnal wildlife before returning to the lodge for dinner. The night is spent at the TREEHOUSE INN, nestled in the heart of the jungle.

Manu Jungle Experience

Manu National Park - The day begins with a delicious breakfast to prepare for the adventures ahead. A three-hour walk through a private reserve follows, an ideal setting for wildlife spotting. A unique feature of this experience is a small mountain within the rainforest, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding jungle upon climbing.

After descending, we return to the TREEHOUSE INN, where a delicious lunch made with local ingredients is served. Following a restful nap, we search for howler monkeys along the shores.

Finally, we return to the lodge for dinner. For those seeking more adventure, there is an option to join another night walk in the Manu Jungle, exploring the nocturnal wonders of the rainforest.

Return to Cusco

Manu National Park - On the final day of the Cusco to Manu Tour, a hearty breakfast at the TREEHOUSE INN is enjoyed, savoring one last taste of the Amazon’s unique flavors. The journey back to Atalaya follows, offering a final chance to appreciate the sights of the Manu Amazon and cherish the last moments of this incredible journey.

Paucartambo - Upon reaching Atalaya, private transport awaits to take us back to Cusco. As the landscapes change, there is time to reflect on the incredible experiences shared in Manu.
