Cusco - Begin a week-long adventure into the Manu Reserved Zone with an early morning pick-up from your Cusco accommodation. Our private transport will take you across the Andean plains towards the lush Amazon, offering stunning views of the towering Andean peaks along the way.

Paucartambo - We’ll pause briefly in Paucartambo, a traditional Andean town situated at 2906 meters (9534 ft.). Here, enjoy a local breakfast while your guide shares insights into the area’s rich customs and cultural heritage.

The people of Paucartambo have maintained their ancient practices and traditions, largely untouched by modern influences.

Tres Cruces - After exploring the unique history of this charming town, we proceed to the enchanting viewpoint of Tres Cruces or Acjano Pass. At 3900 meters (12795 ft.), this is the highest point of our journey from Cusco, offering breathtaking panoramas of the expansive Amazon basin below.

Manu National Park - After enjoying the scenic overlook, we guide you down to the Manu Cloud Forest for a brief tour. Discover a variety of plants and animals, and visit several orchid gardens.

This area is home to the Peruvian National Bird, the Andean cock of the rock, as well as other species like the capuchin monkey and the woolly monkey.

Rio Madre De Dios - After savoring a local delicacy for lunch, we escort you to Atalaya Port. From here, embark on a motorboat journey along the Madre de Dios River. Spot various mammal species, including the giant otter and the giant armadillo, as we head towards Machuwasi Lake.

After a brief stop here, our river journey continues for another two hours, ending at the Manu Rainforest Lodge nestled in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon.

Upon check-in, our team will serve an Amazon-inspired dinner. If you wish, we can embark on a short night expedition to observe some of the forest’s nocturnal creatures.

Rio Madre De Dios - At dawn around 5:00 AM, we’ll set off on a boat trip down the Alto Madre de Dios River, heading for the Manu Reserved Zone. Enjoy breakfast at sunrise during this journey.

Manu Park - After lunch, our exploration of the Manu Reserved Zone begins, with our first stop at Otorongo Lake, home to an observation tower. From here, enjoy a panoramic view of the vast Amazon Rainforest.

As the sun sets, we’ll return to the lodge for dinner and a restful night’s sleep.

Casa Matsiguenka Lodge

Manu National Park - Return to the lodge for lunch, and enjoy some free time in the afternoon. Choose to swim, hike, or simply relax in the tranquility of the Amazon Rainforest.

After dinner, we’ll guide you on a night tour where you may see creatures such as alligators, tapirs, owls, and snakes. After this nocturnal adventure, return to the lodge for rest.

Casa Matsiguenka Lodge - Treehouse Inn

Manu National Park - At 4:30 AM, we’ll check out from Casa Matsiguenka Lodge and embark on a 12-hour expedition along the Manu and Palotoa Rivers. Our destination is the heart of Manu Jungle, where our private family-owned Treehouse INN is located.

Manu Wildlife Peru - Treehouse INN - Treehouse Inn, nestled deep within the Manu Jungle, is exclusive to our guests. The journey from Manu Rainforest Lodge to Treehouse INN offers breathtaking views of the cloud forests and a chance to observe various mammal species, such as Capybaras.

The journey reveals magnificent views of life along the riverbanks, with possible sightings of diverse birds, animals, and even Jaguars. As we approach Boca Manu with the sunrise, this unforgettable scene is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Rio Madre De Dios - Our course then changes, directing us upstream through the churning waters of the Madre de Dios River and onto the Palotoa River. This leg of the journey, though long, offers rewarding sights. Witness a variety of bird species, many enjoying a fish feast by the river.

Manu Wildlife Peru - Treehouse INN - Upon reaching the Palotoa River, we’ll switch to a smaller boat (Peke Peke) and continue our upstream voyage to the Treehouse. We plan to arrive at the Treehouse by nightfall.

Parrot Clay Lick/ Macaws Clay Lick - Manu Jungle Tour - River Tubing - Treehouse Inn

Manu Wildlife Peru - Treehouse INN - We’ll depart before sunrise to visit the Parrot Clay Lick, a must-see and certainly a highlight of your Manu National Park journey.

Manu Park - This cliff attracts hundreds of vividly-colored parrots that gather to ingest the clay, which contains special minerals that help detoxify their bodies. You’ll have ample time to observe this spectacle before we return to the Treehouse INN for breakfast.

Manu Wildlife Peru - Treehouse INN - After breakfast, we’ll trek along another significant trail that encircles the community, where various medicinal plants are found.

Manu Park - Our guide will explain the specific uses of medicinal plants during the tour. Deeper into the forest, observe Jaguars, Pumas, Anteaters, Sloths, and Tapirs from a safe distance in their natural habitat. By midday, we’ll trek back to our lodge for lunch.

Manu Wildlife Peru - Treehouse INN - Further inside, you will spot Jaguars, Pumas, Anteaters, sloths, and Tapirs from a safe distance in their natural habitat. By noon, we will be hiking back to our lodge for lunch.

You will have the evening to yourself. You can enjoy river tubing in the crystal-clear waters of the Palotoa River. After witnessing the sunset in the Amazon, we will serve dinner.

At night, we will once again tour the jungle to spot a few more nocturnal creatures.

Amazon Rainforest - The evening is yours to enjoy as you please. Feel free to indulge in the thrilling activity of river tubing amidst the crystal-clear waters of the Palotoa River.

Manu Wildlife Peru - Treehouse INN - After the sunset in the Amazon, we will be ready for dinner.

Amazon Rainforest - Once again, we will tour the jungle to spot a few more nocturnal creatures.

Treehouse Inn - Manu Rainforest Lodge

Manu Wildlife Peru - Treehouse INN - The tour begins with an early breakfast at the Treehouse Inn. We’ll then embark on a scenic journey along the Madre de Dios River.

Manu Park - We will visit a native community, where you will gain valuable insights into their rich traditions and customs.

Manu Wildlife Peru - Treehouse INN - After visiting the native community, we will return to the lodge for lunch and to check out.

Amazon Rainforest - Your day concludes with arrival at Manu Rainforest Lodge. It’s the perfect time to have dinner and once again explore part of the Manu Rainforest.

Manu National Park - After breakfast, we’ll head to Atalaya pier, where our crew will be ready with private transport to take you back to Cusco city.

Paucartambo - On the return journey, we’ll stop in Paucartambo for a delightful lunch.
