Upon reaching the mountain Qaqa Wiñay (3,380 meters / 11,080 feet), you will marvel at the Inca ingenuity in creating over 3,000 salt mines or pools in the mountain. This was achieved through a manual extraction system that remains effective to this day. - Moray - The journey will continue to the town of Moray, renowned for its three “coliseums,” circular platforms or terrace systems used by the Incas for agriculture. These terraces created various microclimates for crop production, generating different temperatures between the terrace depressions, designed according to the sun and wind orientation.
