This site was a major religious and cultural hub, and today you can admire its impressive stone walls and learn about its history at the Convent of Santo Domingo, which was built on its foundations.
Sacsayhuaman - Continue the tour with a visit to Sacsayhuamán, an Inca fortress renowned for its massive stone walls that perfectly fit the hill it rests upon. Besides its historical importance, the site offers breathtaking panoramic views of Cusco that are not to be missed.
Q’enqo - Next, head to Qenqo, an archaeological site known for its intricate rock-carved tunnels and labyrinths. Here, you can explore the ceremonial structures and discover the site’s role in Inca rituals.
Pucara - The following stop is Puka Pukara, a fortress that served as a checkpoint and lookout. From here, enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding valleys and appreciate the Inca military strategy.
Tambomachay - Finally, visit Tambomachay, known as the Inca Bath. This archaeological site is celebrated for its fountains and water channels, used for ceremonial and ritual purposes. The Inca’s hydraulic engineering is particularly impressive here.
Sacred Valley
Pisac - Hotel pickup at 7 am. The journey to the Sacred Valley is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the scenery and prepare for the marvels you will encounter.
The first stop is Pisac, famous for its traditional market and remarkable archaeological ruins. Explore the local market for crafts and typical products, then visit the archaeological site in the nearby hills, where you can admire the Inca agricultural terraces and enjoy panoramic views of the valley.
Urubamba - Travel to Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley, while taking in the beautiful scenery along the way. This journey allows you to appreciate the region’s natural beauty.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Ollantaytambo. The area offers a range of options from traditional dishes to international cuisine. Take this time to relax and prepare for the rest of the day.
Ollantaytambo - After lunch, head to Ollantaytambo, one of the best-preserved Inca cities. Explore the archaeological site, known for its impressive terraces and stone structures. Learn about the history and strategic importance of this fortress.
Aguas Calientes - Then, proceed to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, a transfer will take you to your hotel, where you can check in, rest, and prepare for the next day’s activities.
Machu Picchu
Aguas Calientes - Start the day with breakfast at your hotel. Then, head to the bus station with your guide to board the bus to Machu Picchu Sanctuary, a journey of approximately 20 minutes.
Upon arrival, enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of the Citadel, where your guide will provide detailed information on the site’s history and highlights. After the tour, you will have free time to explore independently and take photos.
Return to Aguas Calientes around 12:30 p.m. for lunch. Afterward, take the train back to Ollantaytambo, a journey of about 1 hour and 45 minutes. From Ollantaytambo, board a bus to Cusco, a journey of approximately 2 hours.

Humantay Lagoon
Mollepata - You will be picked up from your hotel between 04:30 - 05:00 a.m. in Cusco. Prepare for a day of adventure as the journey to Humantay Lagoon begins early to maximize the day.
Start your drive to Mollepata, a charming town in the Apurimac Valley. During the journey, enjoy panoramic views of the Andean landscapes. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours.
Upon arrival in Mollepata, stop for a typical breakfast at a local restaurant. This is the perfect time to recharge before starting the hike.
Bus Cusco Soraypampa - After breakfast, continue by transport to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike to Humantay Lagoon. This drive takes approximately 40 minutes.
Humantay Lake - From Soraypampa, begin a hike to Humantay Lagoon. The hike lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours and is moderate, with a gradual ascent. As you approach the lagoon, enjoy breathtaking views of the mountainous landscape and the Humantay Glacier.
Mollepata - Start the descent back to Soraypampa. The walk back is usually faster, as it is mainly downhill.
Enjoy a prepared lunch in Soraypampa. Relax and recharge after the hike.
After lunch, take transportation back to Mollepata and then Cusco. The drive takes approximately 3 hours in total.
Queswachaka
Cusipata - The tour begins with pickup from the hotel in Cusco between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. Prepare for a day of exploration and adventure, as we will leave early to make the most of the day.
Start your drive to Mollepata, a picturesque town located south of Cusco. During the journey, enjoy panoramic views of the Andean landscapes. The drive takes approximately 2 hours.
Upon arrival at Cusipata, stop for a typical breakfast at a local restaurant. This is the ideal time to recharge before continuing with the day.
Queswachaka - After breakfast, visit the four lagoons of the region, where you can admire the natural beauty of these bodies of water. Afterwards, make a short stop at the small volcano of Pabellones, near the town of Yanaoca.
Continue the journey to the impressive Inca Qeswachaka Bridge, located over the Apurimac River in the Quehue district. This bridge, built with vegetable fiber (ichu), has been renovated and maintained annually since Inca times. The renovation is done with great dedication by the local communities, and an offering is made to Pachamama as a mark of respect before beginning the renovation.
You will have the opportunity to cross the Inca Qeswachaka Bridge from both sides. Although it seems simple, crossing the bridge requires some courage due to its structure and height. Enjoy the unique experience and breathtaking views of the surroundings.
Cusco - On the way back to Cusco, make a stop at the colonial Inca bridge of Checacupe. Here you can see the differences between this colonial bridge and the Inca Qeswachaka Bridge, and learn more about the evolution of these structures.
After visiting Checacupe, take the transport back to Cusco. The drive takes approximately 3 hours in total.
Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be transferred to your hotel. You will have free time to relax and unwind after a day full of explorations and discoveries.
Mountain of Colors
Cusipata - You will be picked up from your hotel between 04:30 - 05:00 a.m. in Cusco. Prepare for a day of adventure, as the journey to the Mountain of Colors begins early to make the most of the day.
Start the drive to the Cusipata area, the starting point for the hike to the Mountain of Colors. During the journey, enjoy panoramic views of the Andean landscapes. The trip takes approximately 2 hours.
Upon arrival in Cusipata, stop for a typical breakfast at a local restaurant. This is the perfect time to recharge before starting the hike.
Rainbow Mountain - Begin the hike to the Mountain of Colors. The route takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. During the tour, admire the Andean landscape and observe the local fauna, such as alpacas and llamas.
Reach the top of the Mountain of Colors, where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the multicolored mountain formations and take stunning photographs. Our guide will provide information about the geology and history of the place.
Cusipata - Descend from the mountain and return to the starting point. The descent is usually faster and will take about 1 to 1.5 hours.
Once back at the starting point, enjoy a typical lunch prepared in the area. This is a good time to relax and recharge after the hike.
Cusco - After lunch, take transportation back to Cusco. During the journey, you will be able to rest and reflect on the incredible experience.
Arrive in Cusco and be dropped off at your accommodation or in a central part of the city, depending on your preferences. Here ends the excursion to the Mountain of Colors, a day full of adventures and unforgettable landscapes.
South Valley
Tipon - Start the adventure with pickup from your accommodation at 8:00 a.m. From there, head towards the South Valley, a region rich in history and natural beauty. The first stop will be at the archaeological site of Tipón, famous for its impressive water canal systems and agricultural terraces, showcasing the ingenuity of the ancient Incas in water management and agriculture.
Pikillaqta - Continue to Pikillaqta, an ancient pre-Inca city from the Wari period. Here, explore the ruins of what was once an important administrative and religious center. Pikillaqta’s architecture is notable for its large adobe structures and rectilinear streets.
San Pedro Apostol de Andahuaylillas - At noon, head to Andahuaylillas to visit the “Sistine Chapel of America,” a colonial gem renowned for its architecture and well-preserved murals. This site offers a fascinating insight into the Spanish influence in the region.
