Great knowledge, food and presentation - Mauricio was excellent! I loved the education he provided in the market - and clearly his cooking was professional. We learned how to make some tasty dishes and also how to present them with style. It was a fabulous way to spend the morning while we were acclimatizing in Cusco - definitely recommend!

Excellent Experience - Enlightening, Entertaining, and Delicious - Excellent experience. We spent about an hour in the market where our chef/instructor (Dael) showed us unique fruits, vegetables, chocolate and cheeses unique to Peru. We also discussed some of the cultural practices related to food in the region. We then took a short walk to the kitchen where over about 3hrs we prepared and consumed Pisco sours, 3 different types of ceviche, potato soup, stuffed peppers and elements of dessert. We discussed and learned Peruvian cuisine techniques and cultural elements. We left enlightened, entertained, and replete :). Highly recommended.

Fabulous experience and meal - I highly recommend this and did to 2 members of tour group that had just ended, they went the next day and loved it also. Chef Dael was fabulous, I learned a lot and the food was delicious. The market walk is really great and the kitchen and dining areas they have a short walk away are wonderful, fully equipped and spotless. Loved my pisco sour, different cerviches and other foods. Instead of having a meal out do this - so much more fun, interesting and likely more and better food.

A special experience in Cusco - Fabulous experience, Chef Dael was wonderful, very informative and so personable and I very much appreciate my booking was honored, even though I was the only person there - likely because it was a Saturday morning. We spent about an hour at the market, which was really interesting and then a short walk to the cooking school which is a fabulous place. We made ceviche, a hot soup, a potato and cheese dish with local vegetables (as I don’t eat meat) and different fruits for dessert lots of food and of course a pisco sour. It is a wonderful place to have a cooking class extremely clean. I travel a lot, and this is truly a special experience.

Top 3 Tour — Peruvian Cooking Class & Market in Cusco - This was easily one of our top 3 tours ever — so fun, interesting, and delicious! We’re not really cooks, so it was great to have supportive guidance (the class was just the right level — challenging, but totally doable). It was a small group, which made it feel personal and engaging. First we visited the local market, where we learned so much about Peru’s amazing variety of fruits, potatoes, and other native foods. Then in the cooking portion, we got to build on that context — why ingredients matter, how they’re used — while making several dishes. The food we made was absolutely amazing, and there was so much of it! You will leave full and happy. If you want a tour that mixes culture, food education, and hands-on experience (with the reward of eating what you cook), do not miss this one. I highly, highly recommend it.

Great experience, learned... - Great experience, learned a lot about Peruvian cuisine and traditions. Starting at the market gave us a good background before the cooking class. The food was all great and it was fun to learn how to make everything from scratch. The ceviche was incredible!
