After breakfast, we’ll climb Vinicunca for 2 hours (Also known as Rainbow Mountain). You can witness hundreds of llamas and alpacas and hike around the Ausangate Mountain range, Cusco’s highest mountains.
The hike is mostly plain with a gradual steep incline at the end, and you’ll need a warm jacket, caps, gloves, and a camera to record the great vistas.
At Rainbow Mountain, your guide will describe how the painted hills, Andes, and this mountain formed.
After admiring the Peruvian Andes and the 360-degree view from Vinicunca, we’ll take a 30-minute hike to Red Valley, a rarely-visited region with amazing views.
Next, we’ll return to the trailhead, where lunch awaits. Our chef uses local ingredients to prepare buffet meals. Return to Cusco around 5:30 pm.

Totally worth it, but it's a little spot lighting - What an amazing way to experience the rainbow mountains. We were well taken care of by our cooks Ismael and Eferson, driver Efrain and tour guide Sebastian. The food was great, the drive was smooth, and the hike was amazing. Sebastian was great for insights into the surrounding mountains and local culture.

Beautiful experience. - I did this tour with my mom (a 72-year-old lady) and it was a beautiful experience for both of us. Our guide Sebastian was very friendly and patient. All the time he indulged us and took great care of us. Luis Alberto our driver was also very friendly and drove great. It was also a beautiful surprise that we had a chef (Julio) who prepared breakfast and lunch and everything was delicious. Food was consumed on mountain slopes and the scenery was fantastic. The mountain views were amazing and the overall experience wonderful.
10000% recommended and to repeat it again 😊

Felix and Sebastian rocked it - I made the tour to Rainbow Mountain with friends. The whole thing was organized and carried out by Tresperience. Because we were in low season, we had our tour guide Sebastian and our chef Felix to ourselves.
Sebastian really took time to respond to the individual needs and kept our group together well.
Felix, our chef, spoiled us both for breakfast and lunch with really good food. Again, there was something for everyone.

Fabulous once in a lifetime experience - We joined TreXperience because it branded as boutique group trips. And happily it’s only the two of us and can almost called it a private tour!
The tour we joined - humantay lake and rainbow mountain. The guide, Roger, was very professional and caring all the way, with arrangements and hiking process.
What’s more, he has amazing photo-taking skills which is a plus!
On the last day, they arranged outdoor picnic which is a life-time experience. We arrived a rural site before hiking up to Rainbow Mountain, and trekking chefs starts cooking there. The guide, drivers, chefs are all happily devoted setting up for us, all we have to do is just sit, eat and enjoy the mountain view.
Special applause to the team- this is a once in a lifetime experience because of you, thanks!

A good experience and well pampered tour - The tour was well coordinated by our tour guide, Sebatian, the day before the tour. As scheduled, my wife and I were picked up from our hotel at 4.15am and were driven 3 hrs to the Rainbow Mountain. Prior to arriving at the trailhead, we stopped at our picnic spot, which was immediately after the checkpoint, to have our specially prepared breakfast. After our 4-hr hike, we returned to the same spot to have our freshly cooked lunch. After lunch, we returned to Cusco and reached our hotel around 5.00pm.
Our two accompanying chefs, Daniel and Elizabeth, were praiseworthy! They were quick to cook our delicious breakfast upon our arrival. Later they cooked us a wonderful and delicious buffet lunch. They’re definitely very experienced and good chefs. Sebatian, our guide, was very fit and experienced man and guided us well. He was very patient to wait for us as we couldn’t hike fast due to the high altitude and cold condition. I would say the whole team, Sebatian, the two chefs and the driver, coordinated and worked so well together to set up the picnic spot from scratch with tents, including our private toilet and to demob them quickly after lunch. Overall, we had a truly wonderful and memorable outing to the Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley, thanks to Sebatian, Daniel, Elizabeth and the driver (sorry, can’t remember his name). A highly recommended tour.

Don’t hesitate book this tour! - Katia was a great host on our rainbow mountain and red valley trip. Overall, the trip felt intimate, local, informative and completely magical. The hike was challenging due to the altitude, but Katia was always attentive and reassuring- leading us through breathing exercises before the hike, and paying special attention to group members who were struggling. I particularly liked the offering ceremony (stupors for Apus) we did towards the end of the hike, as well as the traditional and cultural knowledge Katia weaved into the tour.

Exquisite beauty, spectacular day - Christina and I had an incredible day with Katie and the team. The on-time pick up/ drop off, excellent driving, delicious and beautifully presented breakfast and lunch and lovely setting created just for us all made this day special. What made the day extraordinary was the breathtaking beauty, combined with the guidance, expertise, and incredible knowledge Katie shared with us about high altitude hiking, the sacred place we were in and Incan culture. We will take these lessons with us. She is much more than a tour guide and we have such a good feeling about TreXperience as we prepare to join them on the Inca Trail in a few days.

A good day trip to Rainbow Mountain - We had a lovely experience trekking to Rainbow Mountain and the Red Valley. An early morning start and bus ride brought us through beautiful countryside. We had a delicious outdoor breakfast with a view of glaciers and alpacas.
Our guide Kate, shared her cultural expertise and even led us through some preparatory breathing exercises. The trek was challenging due to the altitude but we kept a nice pace. The early morning start proved wise as the view points became very crowded as we were preparing to leave. We continued on to the Red Valley trail and view point and then back to the bus. A delicious lunch was waiting for us, this time in a large tent. Overall, a great day!

Extraordinary experience.... - Great experience with a very professional team , available and kind. The breakfasts and lunches were good and very hearty, the driver of the mini bus , very careful and listening to his passengers, in short everything was perfect, I recommend this agency 100%.....
