Operating Schedule: The journey begins early at around 4:30 am, with a pick-up from the hotel in Cusco. The trip takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, during which a quick breakfast is provided. The journey continues for another 2 hours to the small town of Kayrawiri, where the walk begins. After a brief orientation, the walk commences at the base of the Ausangate snow-capped mountain, involving an ascent of about 1 hour to reach the highest point of the colorful hill. Along the way, there is an opportunity to observe various South American camelids. This marks the first enigmatic moment of the journey. Following this, there is a 1-hour descent to the transportation point, leading to Cusipata for lunch. The return to Cusco is scheduled for arrival at 4:00 pm.
