- Pisac - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Cusco at 7:00 AM. The journey to Pisac will commence in private transport, with a brief stop at a viewpoint in Taray.
This spot offers a breathtaking view of the valley below, where the Urubamba River winds through the villages in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Pisac boasts a massive and stunning Inca site perched on a hilltop overlooking the village. Guests will be driven up the hill to the main entrance of the complex, where a local expert will provide a guided tour.
After exploring the complex, guests will be driven down to the main plaza. On weekends, the narrow cobblestone streets are bustling with locals selling their handicrafts.
- Urubamba - After enjoying Pisac, guests will be driven to Urubamba, the lowest part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here, a buffet lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
- Ollantaytambo - Following a delightful meal, the tour continues to Ollantaytambo, a significant site during the Inca empire. Visitors can observe the advanced town planning of the Incas. Ollantaytambo is one of the oldest continuously inhabited villages of the Inca empire.
The village is nestled between two Inca ruins and is also the departure point for the train to Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail.
- Moray - After exploring Ollantaytambo, the tour proceeds to Maras and Moray. Both sites have played and continue to play a significant role. Moray features circular agricultural terraces that served as an agricultural laboratory for the Incas.
Each level has a distinct temperature, allowing the Incas to determine the optimal weather conditions for growing crops.
- Maras - Maras is renowned for its salt mines, passed down through generations. Locals continue to practice traditional Solar Evaporation salt farming methods, which will be explained in detail by a local expert.
- Chinchero - Concluding the full-day Sacred Valley tour, guests will visit Chinchero, known for Andean textiles. This beautiful and tranquil village is often overlooked by tourists. It features a whitewashed church that was once the royal palace of Incan emperor Pachacutec.
Among all sites in the Sacred Valley, Chinchero has the most fertile soil. During the Inca civilization, under Pachacutec’s leadership, many farming terraces were built. The water channels here showcase the advancement of Inca engineering.
- Cusco - In the evening, guests will be driven back to Cusco city and dropped off at Plaza Regocijo, just a block away from Cusco’s main square – Plaza de Armas.
