Unforgettable Salkantay journey. - We just completed the 4‑day Salkantay trek, and I can say with absolute confidence: Elistan is exceptional. From day one, we felt fully supported, informed, and genuinely cared for. Every day’s plan was clearly explained, and every detail was handled with professionalism and heart. We enjoyed delicious meals prepared by our personal chef on Days 1 and 2, and our porters took great care of our backpacks on Days 3 and 4. Our group had multiple dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten‑free, no red meat), and every single request was accommodated without compromise. The food was consistently delicious. What truly sets this company apart is integrity. There are many tour operators out there, but not all of them prioritize your well‑being. Elistan and Allyn Pacja absolutely do. They made us feel welcomed, safe, and supported at every step. We trusted Elistan more than we trusted ourselves. Elistan, we already miss you. Thank you for everything — you’re part of the family now. I know our paths will cross again. If you’re searching for an unforgettable adventure, stop searching. This is the company you want. Few tips: get to Cusco at least 3 days before the hike to acclimatize. Altitude is no joke! Take altitude meds before you arrive. Bring headache meds, electrolytes powder. Ask Elistan for restaurant recommendations based on what you like to eat. Day 1 hike - it will be cold! Whatever you wear on day one ( leggings and hiking pants, warm hat, gloves, winter jacket) - you will sleep in the same clothes. Don’t bother to change. Day two will start cold, but you will worm up in the afternoon. And there will be a warm shower at the camp. Day 3 would be warm, wear shorts under your hiking pants. And go to the hot springs after lunch to relax and enjoy the view. Day 4 is long, it will get hot! Wear sunscreen, hat, bug spray. I recommend to bring a small backpack where you can put your water bladder on a days when backpacks are transferred to the camp site. Use a lightweight spare day pack for the water, toilet paper, sunscreen, bug spray and snacks. Also for the clothes you will take off. Enjoy the trip! I am mid 50 and my husband is late 60- we did it!

Once in a lifetime trip. 100% recommend! - I just finished the 5 day Machu Picchu hike with Allyn and it honestly couldn’t have been better. He’s the best guide I’ve ever had. From the first day, he made everything easy and stress free. Allyn took care of every little detail so we could just focus on enjoying the experience. He went above and beyond every step of the way. Whether it was arranging amazing meals, checking on everyone’s comfort, or sharing stories and history about the area, you could tell he really cares about what he does and about his guests. It truly felt like VIP treatment from start to finish. I’ve done a lot of tours and this one stood out because of Allyn. If you’re thinking about doing the Machu Picchu trek, I can’t recommend him enough. You’ll be in great hands.
