Tour covering 3 historic periods with several extras. Great value! - This 6 hour tour was excellent with great variety in the itinerary (Incan site, Wari (pre-Incan) and Spanish Catholic) and several extras. We were slow to actually get on the road but once we had set off everything ran very smoothly. The guide was informative, knowledgeable and helpful. Tipon exemplified Incan water management. Pikillacta was a large site demonstrating a sophisticated culture before the Incans. The church at Andhuaylilas was extraordinary with a stunning ceiling and ornate gold and silver everywhere. We also stopped for a talk on Hiram Bingham which, while mainly in Spanish, had enough English to be well worthwhile. A stop at a bakery allowed us to taste traditional bread and watch fresh loaves coming out of the oven. By the church at Andhuaylillas was a bizarrely fascinating museum with mummies and deformed skulls from deliberately altering children's skulls. On the way back we were to stop for a late lunch. We weren't bothered by this so our guide arranged for us to transfer to an earlier bus so that we weren't sitting around. The bus was clean and comfortable and the driver was VG. Great value!

A perfect day trip from Cusco! 😊 - This tour was a surprise, in the best way. We visited three very different spots, each with its own charm. The highlight for me was Tipón with its flowing canals and peaceful vibe. The bus was comfortable and the guide kept the mood light and fun.

Amazing tour - This tour took us to places I hadn’t even heard of before! Tipón was a stunning mix of nature and ancient engineering, and Pikillacta had such an eerie beauty. The guide was super friendly and shared great stories. A chill group vibe and a full day of amazing views. Totally underrated!

A great time - I joined this tour with low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. While most tourists flock to Machu Picchu or the Sacred Valley, the South Valley has its own charm. The ruins of Pikillacta were fascinating and very different from the typical Inca architecture. It felt like stepping into a different era.

A really special tour - What really made this tour special was our guide. She spoke passionately about the history and culture of the area, and you could tell she genuinely cared about sharing it with us. The stop at Tipón with the water channels was a personal favorite, it’s both scenic and spiritually calming.

No English, 3 unadvertised stops - Despite booking a tour with English, and telling the operator the night before that I don’t speak Spanish when they contacted me in Spanish on WhatsApp, and telling the employee that walked me to the van in the morning, when the guide got on the van 30 minutes later just before we got on the highway, it turns out she spoke no English and it was too late for me to bail out. So I spent about 8 hrs and paid the entrance fees but didn’t get the full experience. After the tour the operator asked how I liked it and I explained my disappointment and frustration, but didn’t even get an apology. The first stop after 25 minutes of driving was a souvenir shop where a lecture on Machu Picchu was given even though this was a tour of Tipon an Pikillacta. The lecture was in Spanish and we arrived after it had started, and there were no seats left. The second unadvertised stop was a bread store. The third was a roadside diner for lunch at the end. Combined they lengthened the tour, while I felt I was rushed at the two archeological sites.
