More than just a food tour — felt like hanging with a local friend - We booked this private food tour in Cusco with Angelo, and it honestly felt like hanging out with a friend who knows the city inside and out. He went out of his way to accommodate my girlfriend’s many allergies (no pumpkin, avocado, milk, etc.), customizing stops like a fresh smoothie with tomato, orange, and some unknown Peruvian fruit — no artificial sweeteners, just pure local flavor. We tried sugarcane off the street, something that felt totally authentic and un-touristy, and a passionfruit-like fruit that was tart and refreshing. One of the more “sit-down” moments was a stop for roasted chicken and fries (photo attached), super simple but really well done. Angelo also made the experience personal — we chatted about anime, Tekken, Rubik’s cubes, and he even made me a 20-minute video after the tour showing me how to solve one. Totally above and beyond. The tour lasted the full 3 hours, and while I can’t confirm every one of the “10 tastings,” the vibe was relaxed and real — not rushed or staged. If you’re looking for a rigid checklist tour, this might not be for you. But if you want to experience the food culture and connect with a cool local who listens, adapts, and cares, Angelo’s your guy. Highly recommend.

Please do this food tour. - This is a fantastic food experience. We did it on our first full day so that we could get used to the elevation and learn about the city. Angelo was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Great price, great food, great experience.

Must book tour - Angelo was a great guide. We learned much more about the city, Peru, and the history of agriculture than we were expecting. The food was amazing and the vendors we were able to interact with were great! Thoroughly enjoyed our time and after he sent us tons of great recommendations. Must book!

A Uniquely Local and Delicious Experience! - The Cusco walking food tour was a fantastic way to explore the city and its local flavors. It had a great balance of walking and food, allowing us to experience the sights while enjoying some truly delicious dishes. The empanadas, picarones, and wood-fired chicken with chips were definite highlights—so fresh and full of flavor! This tour offers an authentic taste of Cusco and is a must for food lovers looking for something uniquely local.

Great tastes and a great guide - Angelo was knowledgable and interesting. We spent a relaxed afternoon, strolling through Cusco’s streets sampling local foods at the market and in eateries. I enjoyed the food and getting to know more of Cusco from a local.

Good, Not Great - There was nothing particularly bad, or great about this tour. Our guide was friendly and provided insight to the local cuisine. It wasn’t 10 tastings, more like 5. Again, not bad, not great. I would try something like this again if only for the guide around the local culinary scene.

Nothing special - We had a few dishes that were delicious a trip to the market. The guide wasn’t all that engaging which was a shame as I had read lots of good reviews.

Disappointed - The Tour did not match the description, we did not go to any of the places listed on the tour itinerary nor did we eat ceviche . One of the main reasons we signed up was because we wanted to see see San Pedro Market and the guide did not take us there. Also we expected a three hour tour and it was only one hour and 50 mi utes. The Tour Guide was very well informed and we did taste amazing empanadas and picarones, but we were expecting a better experience.
