Don't do this in a group tour! - Firstly, this review is all about my experience on the day in a group tour and no criticism at all of Jerry, our tour guide, who I thought did really well under trying circumstances. We were picked up 30 mins late from scheduled pick up, no prior comms and I had to call to find out what was going on. Eventually picked up by taxi to then go pick up another couple who had been waiting an hour themselves so already running late, you can see how this is panning out. Jerry, our guide, was great and doing his best especially for the rest of us. Unfortunately, we had an inconsiderate group of ladies and a single guy who would not keep to time when meeting up, a lot of waiting and we had issues with some Japanese / Koreans who didn't understand a word of English and so everything had to be constantly repeated several times using Google translate whilst we all waited. Our guide, Jerry, had the patience of a Saint and showed great professionalism in dealing with these people, it was like herding cats for him. Basically, I'm sure you can guess that we ran out of time, couldn't get to enjoy Ba Na hills, we missed out on a lot and only had 4 rides. My advice to anyone reading this, is get your own taxi, buy your own tickets and do it yourself in your own time. You can do it with or without lunch. Lunch is a bun fight, the queues, getting somewhere to sit, you will be eating with a million other people which in itself took up a lot of time. Hindsight, I would have skipped it. Sorry, not at all good value and a waste of money.
