DAKAR - PINK LAKE - LOMPOUL

Dakar - Depart from Dakar in the afternoon to visit Lac Rose, the former finish line of the Paris-Dakar Rally. Enjoy a canoe trip on the lake before heading to the Lompoul desert. Upon arrival in the village, transfer by 4×4 through the dunes to reach the accommodation. After a warm welcome, take a camel ride or walk on the dunes to witness the breathtaking sunset. Enjoy dinner and an evening under the stars. Spend the night in tents at the Ecolodge de Loumpoul or Le Camp du Desert.

SAINT LOUIS – ORNITHOLOGICAL PARK OF DJOUDJ – SAINT LOUIS

Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary - Depart early from Loumpoul to visit the Djoudj ornithological park. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it serves as the first water point after the Sahara for migratory birds such as cormorants, pelicans, whistling ducks, and fish eagles. Additionally, crocodiles, monitor lizards, warthogs, and jackals can be found here. The park is home to about 350 species. Take a canoe tour through the park’s backwaters and return to Saint Louis. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the Diamrek Hotel in Saint Louis.

SAINT LOUIS – BANDIA – SOMONE

Reserve De Bandia - Travel to the charming city of Thiès, the country’s second-largest city, known as the rail capital. Continue to the Bandia reserve. Have lunch at the reserve park’s restaurant, overlooking a waterhole where animals gather to drink. In the afternoon, embark on a safari in the Bandia game reserve, set in a stunning forest of baobabs and acacias. Here, the main mammals of West Africa, including giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, monkeys, and rhinoceroses, thrive. After the safari, drive to Somone, settle in, and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel in Saly or Somone.
