• Xizhou Town - Travel to Xizhou, located just 19 kilometers north of Dali Old Town. Here, guests can explore the morning market, where locals in traditional minority attire sell and purchase local fruits, freshly cut meats, aromatic spices, livestock, and more. Visitors can experience a traditional Three Course Tea ceremony and admire a stunning example of a traditional Bai-style courtyard home.
• Zhoucheng Village - Next, visit Zhoucheng Village, the largest Bai village in the area, renowned for its tie-dyeing heritage. Stroll through the village streets to see local artisans creating batik fabrics and perfecting intricate tie-dye techniques. Guests will have the opportunity to visit a workshop to observe the complete tie-dye process, from dyeing to drying.

The tour begins in Dali Old Town and proceeds to the less-visited areas of Xizhou and Zhoucheng. Initially, the tour explores Xizhou, renowned for its historical and cultural significance as a Bai minority town, featuring well-preserved architecture. The journey then continues to Zhoucheng, known as the birthplace of Chinese tie-dyeing. This traditional dyeing technique is distinctive not only in China but globally. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the folk customs and daily life of the minority communities, and even create tie-dye art with their families. Following this, the tour includes a cruise on Erhai Lake and a visit to a local fishing village.
