- Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - Sigiriya, also known as Sinhagiri, is an ancient rock fortress situated in the northern Matale District near Dambulla in Sri Lanka’s Central Province. This site holds great historical and archaeological importance, highlighted by a towering granite rock column about 180 meters high. It is a 30-minute drive from the Dambulla Royal Cave Temple.
- Pidurangala Rock - Pidurangala Rock is a prominent hiking destination located a few kilometers north of Sigiriya. It offers moderate hiking and climbing opportunities, with breathtaking panoramic views, especially of Sigiriya and the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Midway up the rock, there is a large reclining Buddha statue, partially reconstructed with brick. At the rock’s base lies the Pidurangala Sigiri Rajamaha Viharaya, a white temple by the roadside. It is a 15-minute ride from the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Amazing private tour - We had an excellent private tour to Sigiriya. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and stress-free from start to finish. Our driver was punctual, friendly, and very knowledgeable about Sri Lanka, which made the long drive enjoyable.
Sigiriya Rock Fortress was absolutely breathtaking, and having a private tour allowed us to explore at our own pace without feeling rushed. We also appreciated the helpful explanations about the history and local culture along the way.
The vehicle was clean and air-conditioned, water was provided, and we always felt safe and well taken care of. Overall, it was a smooth, memorable experience and great value for a private tour.
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sri Lanka and wanting a personalized, comfortable trip to Sigiriya.

I loved this tour and the guide was fantastic!! - I loved this tour and guide so much that I booked multiple tours! Excellent English!! Great sense of humor. Always on time. Looks out for the well being, comfort and enjoyment of his guests. Fantastic recommendations. Flexible and able to accommodate requests including helping me find and purchase needed products from a pharmacy and recommending local foods I never would’ve found on my own.
I really enjoyed climbing the rock fortress and learning all the history. Don’t worry it’s a lovely climb with incredible views and plenty of rest stops if needed.
The safari, boat ride, village tour and village lunch were INCREDIBLE!! OMG!!! I was debating between this tour and another tour company and I’m SO PLEASED that I chose this tour!! It’s not guaranteed and the safari guides do their best, but thankfully I saw a TON of elephants.
The village family cooked an amazing and flavorful traditional meal and taught me how to separate rice from the hull, open coconut and shave it, and make rice flour. I think this may have been my favorite part!! The Buddhist temple was calm and serene.
But mostly Sanchitha makes the tour!! He’s a fantastic guide!! I highly recommend this tour and company! I am a solo female traveler and I felt safe throughout and had a fantastic time!

Great trip to experience Sri Lanka . - I enjoyed the trip a lot. It was fascinating to see so many elephants living in the nature park. The rock fortress climb was a great experience too. Thanks to our fantastic guide who was able to adjust the agenda we also avoided the busy times there. I recommend the visit😀

Farm to table lunch made this a unique tour! - This was the best tour we had over a three week period in India and Sri Lanka. Sigiriya was an excellent experience, so beautiful and loved the ascent!! The most unique aspect of this tour was visiting the village Kayanwela where we were hosted by Erandi & Kumuduni (mother & daughter) for a farm-to-table lunch. The food was excellent, gourmet!!! The flavors and presentation were a highlight of our trip!

Sigiriya - Sanchitha @ Colombo provided an Amazing trip and local tour guide expertise which costomized to limited visiting time. He showed care, being nice and friendly and easy to go out with. We felt comfortable to stay in car for long period of time like being one of our friends and also back to hotel safely.
