This bridge, which is almost 100 years old, has been built with blocks of stone and cement without any strengthening iron or concrete. There also rich reptile population and myriads of insects species, many yet to be classified. Mammals scenes here including the purple faced langur monkey and the giant squirrel. It is preferable to explore Sinharaja on foot, which makes for the truly authentic jungle experience.

The Clock Tower is a popular landmark and overlooks the central Moon Bastion, on the site of the former guard room. The Clock Tower was constructed in 1883 Galle Lighthouse This is Sri Lanka’s oldest light station dating back to 1848
