The tour will commence from Dammam City, heading towards Hofuf, with an estimated travel time of 1.5 hours to begin exploring the Al-Ahsa desert. The first stop is a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking Yellow Lake, a shallow wetland encircled by golden dunes just east of Hofuf. Also referred to as Al Asfar Lake, this hidden treasure within Al Ahsa National Park is the largest water body in the Arabian Gulf and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It serves as a habitat for migrating birds and native plant species, creating a rare oasis in the desert. After appreciating the lake’s beauty, participants will enjoy a special off-road drive through the surrounding dunes and salt flats (sabkhas). A picturesque picnic lunch by the lake will be provided. In the afternoon, the tour proceeds to the historic port of Uqair on the Arabian Sea, situated along the tranquil Half-Moon Bay. The final drive will return to Dammam, concluding this exceptional desert and coastal journey through one of Saudi Arabia’s most extraordinary landscapes.
