Abydos Temple - Dandara Temple
Temple Of Seti I - In the early morning, an Egyptologist tour guide will pick up guests from their hotel in Hurghada. They will travel in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle to Abydos, one of the oldest cities of ancient Egypt and a significant archaeological site. Visitors will explore the Temple of Seti I, which features an inscription from the nineteenth dynasty known as the Abydos King List. Following this, they will visit the Osiris Temple, where nine or ten temples were constructed on a single site from the first to the twenty-sixth dynasty.
Dendera Temple Complex - After lunch, the journey continues to the Dandara Temple. This site boasts the impressive Ptolemaic temple dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of joy and love, and is one of the best-preserved sanctuaries in Egypt. Built in the first century B.C. on the remains of older temples, the complex also includes a small temple for Isis worship, a beautiful sacred lake surrounded by trees, a Coptic church, a Roman and Ptolemaic birth-house, and remnants of various Roman brick buildings and the ancient town. The day concludes with a drive to Luxor for dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.
Karnak Temple - Valley of the Kings - Hatshepsut Temple - Medinat Habu
Temple of Karnak - After breakfast, guests will be picked up from their hotel in Luxor by their Egyptologist tour guide to visit the East Bank of Luxor. The tour begins with the majestic Karnak temple complex, a vast open-air museum and the second-largest ancient religious site in the world. Visitors will also enjoy a panoramic view of Luxor Temple, constructed by Amenhotep III and Ramses II.
Valley of the Kings - After crossing the Nile River to the West Bank, the tour continues to the necropolis of the ancient city of Thebes. At the Valley of the Kings, the burial site of Theban kings, guides are not allowed inside the tombs, but they will provide insights on what to observe in the elaborately decorated rooms. An additional fee is required for those wishing to visit King Tutankhamun’s tomb.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Leaving the hot sands of the Valley of the Kings, the next stop is the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most remarkable monuments. The guide will share the history of the temple and the story of Queen Hatshepsut, the renowned female ruler who assumed a male persona to ascend the throne. Guests will have free time to explore the expansive courtyards and admire the intricate hieroglyphic decorations.
Temple of Medinat Habu - The tour concludes with a visit to the Temple of Medinat Habu, where guests can explore a royal palace and view wall carvings depicting memorial scenes and Ramesses III’s victory over the Sea Peoples. Before returning to Luxor for lunch, there will be an opportunity for a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon, marking the site of Amenhotep III’s funerary temple. These two towering statues are the last remnants of the ancient complex. After lunch, guests will return to their hotel in Hurghada, carrying cherished memories for years to come.
