Great day trip - Would definitely recommend - the temple was probably the best that we saw. Well worth the drive from Luxor. Abdelwahab gave us a bunch of info about mythology on the drive up - I knew a lot going in but picked up a few new things. He pointed out a bunch of interesting details at the temple itself. He was also gave a lot of color about the area we were in and modern Egypt which we appreciated. Drive in both directions was very easy, Ahmed as a great driver and it was probably the most comfortable car we were in while in Egypt.

10/10… Highly recommended tour - 10/10 experience… I felt well informed and taken care of during the entire tour. The guide was extremely helpful, took the time to answer my questions, and even offer to take amazing photos during the tour. I would highly recommend.

Recommended for those who don't have time but want to take a closer look at Dendera - I only asked for a transfer from Luxor to Dendera. It is highly recommended for those who don't have time but would like to see only Hathor Temple in Dendera. If you take an early morning balloon ride, visit Karnak or Luxor temples, leave for Dendera in the afternoon and take a two-hour look back, you can still come back before the museum opens. The Hathor temple takes two hours to complete, if you take a close look around to the three crypts, the panorama and the exterior walls. Instead of going to the hotel, they opened it up near the Luxor Temple and dropped it off at the Luxor Museum. The car was also a beautiful passenger car and the driver was kind to me. In Japan, I'm worried if I haven't been able to contact the company a week ago, but since it's Egypt, I haven't heard from them until the day before. I'll be out of town, but I don't need to provide my passport photo, so last minute contact is fine.

A Journey Through Faith, Power, and Human Contradictions at Dendera - Visiting the Dendera Temple with my family was a powerful experience. I was deeply struck by the fact that such an unbelievably magnificent temple was constructed in an unimaginably ancient era, reflecting a time when society was truly centered on gods and belief systems. At the same time, I became aware that parts of this remarkable site were “carefully” destroyed by people with different religious views in later periods. This contrast made the visit especially meaningful: the coexistence of human artistic brilliance, political and religious symbolism, and another human tendency to negate or erase what came before. Our guide’s stories—both humorous and memorable—added greatly to the experience and made the visit even more engaging. Thank you for a truly thought-provoking visit.

From the very beginning, everything was seamless, warm, and perfectly organised. Dendera is a wonderful and well-preserved temple but off the main tourist traill so quieter than other areas. Ahmed is an exceptional guide with an incredible depth of knowledge. His passion for Egyptian history and culture truly shines through, and he has an amazing ability to make every detail come alive in a way that is both fascinating and fun. He was extremely professional, wonderfully prepared, and genuinely enthusiastic about guiding us. We learned so much, yet it never felt overwhelming, just engaging, inspiring, and memorable. He knew when to talk and when to stay silent so we could appreciate the overwhelming sense of peace in the inner temple What made the experience even more special was the personal connection. The journey is not a short one and Ahmed and Mahmoud made every moment enjoyable. They were unbelievably friendly, kind, and respectful, and they made us feel like part of their family from the very first moment. They were interested in sharing not only ancient Egyptian history, but also modern Egyptian culture and daily life, (along with global issues and politics) which added such a rich and personal dimension to the tour. They went above and beyond in every way, taking us for coffee, providing wate, thoughtfully handling tipping along the way, and ensuring everything ran smoothly so we could simply relax and enjoy ourselves. These generous touches made the experience feel effortless and truly special. Our enjoyment of the day was entirely down to Ahmed’s outstanding knowledge, warm personality, and great sense of humour. Mahmoud was an excellent driver, safe, calm, and with a fantastic sense of humour - they both made us laugh out loud and were a real pleasure to spend time with. This tour exceeded all expectations. We cannot recommend Ahmed and Mahmoud highly enough if you are visiting Egypt, touring with them will be one of the highlights of your trip.

Fascinating and fun - My guide was punctual, easy to talk with, kind, very interested in the topic of Egyptian history and in sharing facts and stories. I was never bored. It was all fascinating.

Good driver, unorganized company - Our driver was good and the temple was very beautiful. However, the tour company wasn’t very organized. They gave the driver a random picture of an older man and say it was me (woman), causing confusion during the pickup process. I have no idea why this happened, since no one ever asked me to send photos as confirmation. Where did that wrong photo even come from? And later the company tried to pretend nothing happened, giving no apology at all, and even messaged me to leave them a 5 star review lol.
