This vast area connects the Julius Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous) with the lush eastern arc mountains, forming a crucial part of a large ecosystem of rivers, floodplains, forests, and woodlands. Mikumi is home to Blue Wildebeests, Buffalos, Lions, Zebras, Antelopes, Hippos, Crocodiles, and a variety of birds.

Listen to the instructions and begin hiking the forested mountains. Enjoy lunch at a picnic site with a stunning view of the Kilombero Sugarcane plantation. After trekking, return to the hotel.

Ruaha National Park - After breakfast, gather your belongings and drive to Ruaha National Park. Ruaha, upgraded to a National Park in 1964 and expanded in 2008 to 20,226 sq. km, is Tanzania’s second-largest National Park, comparable in size to New Jersey in the USA or Wales in the UK. Stop in Iringa town for lunch, then continue to Ruaha, rich in diverse flora and fauna.

Dar es Salaam - Have an early breakfast at 6:00 am. After breakfast, gather your belongings and begin the drive to Dar es Salaam. Lunch will be served en route. Continue the journey to Dar, with drop-off at the hotel or airport, preparing for your flight home. End of service.
