Days 2.Nights Selous (Nyerere National Park)
Selous Game Reserve covers 5% of Tanzania’s total land area, approximately 54,600 sq km. It is Africa’s largest wildlife reserve and Tanzania’s most extensive protected area. Selous is home to a large number of elephants, lions, buffaloes, wild dogs, crocodiles, and hippopotamuses. The Rufiji River also hosts a variety of bird life. The reserve is named after a famous British figure, but it is now known as Nyerere National Park.
Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park)
You will be picked up by a guide from Kihindo Tours and Safaris at your hotel, airport, or ferry for a safari briefing. Then, drive south to Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere NP), which is approximately a five-and-a-half-hour drive from Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and start with an afternoon boat safari on the Rufiji River. Overnight stay at Selous Mloka Safaris Lodge with full board.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Selous (Nyerere National Park)
After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive with packed lunch boxes in Selous Game Reserve. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a site selected by your guide. After lunch and some relaxation, continue the game drive until evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Mloka Safaris Lodge.
Day 3: Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere NP) to Dar es Salaam
Start the day with a morning walking safari. After the two-and-a-half-hour walking safari, return to your lodge for a shower and breakfast. Then, drive back to Dar es Salaam with packed lunch boxes. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight home or at your hotel/ferry to Zanzibar or Mafia Island.

Amazing! - Everything was perfect! Abil was very attentive and patient. We were lucky to see many animals up close and had plenty of time to observe them. The organization of these three days was excellent—we just had to let ourselves be guided!
Our safari will be unforgettable thanks to Abil.

100% recommended - We went to a private group safari as 4 friends and we had such a blast. Every minute of it including the safari itself, the accomodation, the food, the service was beyond expectations in the middle of the jungle.
Planning was without a problem and the moment we started to communicate with Winnie, it was obvious that the agency would go out of their ways to welcome us.
Our guide William was not only a guide that is so knowlegable about the area but also such a great friend. Also everyone working at the lodge, the additional guides that took us to the walking safari and boat safari were very knowledgable and such nice people.
We did not have any issues but if we had, we knew the crew would make everything to make it theirs.
The accomodation was very clean with very big rooms, the food was good with big enough portions.
We have witnessed amazing nature, although the heat of the region is not for everyone, we would definitely do it again!
We will be recommending the agency to everyone we know!

Amazing experience in Nyerere - We had amazing time at this Safari. We handled the booking with Winnie. She was really fast with answers and she was really polite.
Our guide was William and we loved him. He was very professional and lovely. William teached alot about Tanzanian nature and about the culture. William was very good at finding the animals. He always made sure that we were okay. He was always on time waiting for us.
We got to see everything what we wanted. We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, lion and many more.
We also loved the walking safari. Our guide DeeDee was amazing person and he teached us alot about his culture and about the nature. People should know that the walking safari is more about the culture not about seeking for animals.
The food was great we didn't feel hungry at any point. We got some cold beers after the Safaris, they tasted great.
The hotel was nice and clean. The staff were very polite and nice.
We would recommend this to everybody, thank you very much.

Great Safari with William to Nyerere Park - A few days ago we went on a safari with Kihindo safaris. Our guide was William. He picked us up from the hotel in Msasani and drove patiently through the early morning traffic of Daressalam. We had asked for a three day private Safari in Nyere National Park. William explained the schedule to us and brought us to the beautiful Mloka Lodge not far from the park. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our rooms elegant, simple, clean - we were really happy! Later we had a relaxing river cruise with some birds, hippos and crocodiles. When we came back to the lodge our dinner was ready. Since we don't eat meet we had wonderful vegetarian pasta and fresh fruits. The food over the 3 days was amazing. Next day we had an all day safari with Williams in the park. What a joy! He knows so much and discovered many birds, plants and mammals. His English was great and we learned a lot. But he also gave us some time to observe and contemplate the beauty of the park. One of the highlights was a pride of lions chasing a giraffe. On our final day we had an entertaining walking safari and then William drove us back to Dar. We are so thankful for this experience! We hadn't planned on doing Nyerere Park but it turned out a great idea. Big thanks also to Winnie, who organized it. Everything was much better than we had hoped for. Ute and Andreas from Germany

Unforgettable Safari - Dream to reality with Kihindo Safard, booked for 3 days from Dar es Salaam. Things went smoothly all the way. Our guide Abel was excellent and he provided us with an unforgettable experience. I will definitely recommend him to my friends who are planning to have a similar trip later.
We were also lucky to see very many animals such as giraffes, elephants (also babys), lion, crocodiles, hippos, zebras, water buffalo etc.
We stayed in Mloka Safari lodge. We felt very welcomed with nice and friendly people around. Place was nice and clean with private bathroom.

Excelent Nyerere safari experience (from Dar es salaam) - Asante sana!
I booked a safari for my family (me, my wife and 2 adult sons) from Finland. Booking was easy and everything was as promised and all went very smoothly.
We had a boat safari, one full day game drive and morning walk on the last day. Already on the boat safari we saw much more than expected.
Our guide Abel was fantastic. During game drive we saw much more than expected. We definitely feet that we got the best safari experience we could have hoped for.
Our accommodation was at Mloka Safari Lodge. Place was pleasant and service and food was great. Personally I appreciated cold beer after long days. If I am going to have another safari in Tanzania, I will get from Kihindo.

Incredible feel of Tanzania - My husband and I did the safari tour for our honeymoon and we loved it so much! It was very well organised! We enjoyed it a lot, the food was great, value for money was incredible and the staff were all so lovely. Our tour guide Guston was well knowledgeable about the animals and quite passionate which made our experience better. We had so much fun hanging out with him over the course of 3 days. Winnie was also great to deal with when making the booking and she was quick to respond to all of my queries.
We would highly recommend this tour to others as well.

Core memory - I can say that the whole Kihindo safari experience we had on the mainland of Tanzania was a 10/10.
We took a ferry from Stone Town, Zanzibar and when we arrived to Dar es Salaam, our guide was already waiting for us there. There is a 4-5 hour drive to the Mloka Lodge, and although part of the road is bumpy, honestly, it was not something that unenjoyable.
The lodge was very clean, it had an authentic vibe and we had all the necessary amenities.
The food was delicious- all of the meals were tasty and well cooked by the experienced chef they have.
The overall staff was very nice, helpful and always smiling.
Our special mention has to be our great guide, William, who was always careful and happy to assist us in any way. He was responsible for us for the whole stay and was also our game drive safari guide, thanks to him we had an amazing day, we saw a lot of animals and created core memories we will cherish forever.
We definitely recommend having him as a guide, if you have the chance, he is friendly and he does his job with passion and profesionalism.
Don’t skip this great venture into the wild heart of Africa! :)

Kindness and joy - I spent three days and two night safari with this tour operator, they took us from our hotel in Dar and brought us directly to the lodge in Nyerere national park! They have been so nice to get any of our requests. William, our guide was amazing, answering every questions we had and fulfilled our every request!

Once in a Lifetime! EXCELLENT!! - I've been on dozens of tours all over the world and this tour falls within the TOP 3 in my lifetime. The communication to book the tour was excellent and all my questions were answered clearly. Pick-up from the port was on time and the 4 hour journey to the lodge was scenic. The lodge, food and customer service was excellent. Our tour guide was magnificent and went above and beyond to ensure we saw the most wildlife. He was very knowledgeable and showed passion in his work. I booked this tour strictly based on the cheapest price factor and went there not expecting much but this tour was a FULL 10/10. This was one of the most exhilarating 3 days of my life without a doubt and I highly rate Kihindo Tours and Safaris for the flawless service rendered.
