Today, the island is a sanctuary for massive Aldabra giant tortoises, some living for over a century. Spice Tour (Airport transfer for Arusha’s flight)
Paje Beach - This day (6th) marks the end of your tropical retreat in Zanzibar and the beginning of your wild safari to the northern circuit.
Your day begins with pickup from the hotel after breakfast, then heading to Tangawizi spice farm for an adventurous spice tour; it is one of the most well-organized farms, offering a guided walk where you can see, smell, and taste vanilla, cloves, cardamom, and more.
After that, your journey to the airport resumes, where you’ll board your flight to Arusha, where your wildlife experience commences.
Arusha Region - The flight from Zanzibar will take approximately 2 hours, landing you in Arusha in the late afternoon.
Arusha is famously home to the world’s best wildlife national parks; the iconic Serengeti National Park and UNESCO site Ngorongoro.
Tarangire National Parks (Transfer to Karatu)
Tarangire National Park - Your trip will begin early in the morning, departing from Arusha at 08:00. After a two-hour drive, about 140 km, you’ll reach Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant population and beautiful landscapes. Tarangire, Tanzania’s sixth largest park, offers a blend of wildlife and cultural richness.
During the dry season, the Tarangire River draws herds of elephants and other wildlife like zebras, giraffes, and buffaloes. You may also spot predators such as lions and leopards, making it a prime location for game viewing. The park’s iconic baobab trees and sweeping savannahs add to its charm.
