Highly recommended! - This class far exceeded our expectations! Fun and informative. Enough prep work is done in advance so things move quickly. Nice variety making dumplings, cucumber salad, beef noodle soup and bubble tea. Nice atmosphere with music in background and large windows looking out over town. At the end, we ate our food which was done right on time for lunch and no one left hungry. The recipes were provided in a color cookbook with photo of each person and their first dumpling on the front. It was also nice to meet others traveling from around the world in our small class of 5.

Very instructive class - I had a very good and instructive cooking class with Angela as instructor. All her explanations were very clear and she was so good at making it fun and giving advice on both cooking technique and where to find the ingredients. We were even given a personalised cookbook at the end of the class. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to try Taiwanese cooking - even if you can’t eat spicy food, as the recipes are very savoury but not too spicy.

Wonderful experience, helps you understand the classics you'll be trying during your trip to Taiwan! - The class was wonderful and easy to follow! The dishes we cooked were delicious, and the instructors did a great job breaking the process down in a way that we feel comfortable replicating back home. So much so that when we returned home, we changed our garden plans to include some of the plants we'll need to cook them!

Fun & Informative - Don’t have to be a culinary expert & more fun with others - Angela was amazing! She was funny, informative, helpful & patient. She seems to come with a lot of experience. My husband and I enjoyed taking this cooking class together and I highly recommend to take it with a partner, friend or family. It’s so much to be able to cook alongside your loved ones and even strangers. Not only did we learn how to make xiao long bao, braised beef soup, a cool cucumber appetizer and boba, we also learned the history behind each dish. It was perfect to eat what we made for lunch and we were even able to leave with a special recipe book of all the dishes that we made & personalized :) Thank you, Angela, for an incredible experience. Highly recommended. It’s so much fun & yummy too!

I loved it and would do it again - The cooking class was fantastic. It was extremely well organized and the instructor made it fun. The chef spoke English and Mandarin. I would definitely consider taking another class and recommend this hands-on class to others. I learned a lot about the ingredients and history of the foods. Again, great class.

A Fun Way to Engage with Taiwanese Food Culture and Cuisine - This was such a fun and memorable experience to include in our itinerary in Taipei! Angela was a fun and engaging teacher, especially in the technique to make the soup dumplings. While I can’t say we made all parts of the beef noodle soup and boba tea (the beef, soup, and noodles were mostly prepped before hand and the boba balls are from a package), we learned the basic techniques, ingredients, and great pointers for how to easily make at home. All components of the soup dumplings were made from scratch and we each ate our own handmade xiaolongbao! :) We were also given a recipe booklet at the end of the experience to make the dishes at home. All of the dishes were delicious, especially the soup dumplings. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys cooking and Taiwanese food.

Fun and well prepared. FYI most of the class will be spent on making XLB - Great and a lot of fun, it went very smoothly. I wanted to learn about cooking beef noodle soup, but this was the one that was most minimized, which was disappointing. It was done as a demo and most of the ingredients were cooked and plated for us ahead of time. The majority of the class was focused on making the XLB.
