• Datong - The driver will be waiting in the lobby of the Datong hotel, holding a sign with your name. You will be transferred to Datong Railway Station to enjoy a relaxing 2-hour bullet train journey to Beijing.
• Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling) - Upon arrival, the tour guide will greet you at the exit of the arrival hall with a sign displaying your name. You will then board a private vehicle for a 30-minute drive to the Changping District, home to the Thirteen Tombs of the Ming Dynasty. These tombs served as the burial site for thirteen emperors from the Ming Dynasty (1409-1645).
• Dingling Underground Palace - Among the thirteen tombs, you will explore the Dingling Tomb, the final resting place of the 13th Emperor Zhu Yijun, known as the Wanli Emperor. It is the only imperial tomb that has been excavated.

Continue the tour by strolling along the Sacred Way leading to the tombs. The Ming emperors believed their souls would ascend to the afterlife after their coffins were carried through the Sacred Way. Admire 36 large stone statues that guard both sides of the 7 km (about 4 miles) long path. Each intricate statue was carved from a single rock.

• Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - Next, enjoy a delicious and memorable Chinese meal, included in the cost of your tour. After lunch, relax during the drive to the Summer Palace, the largest royal garden in China. Admire the imperial palaces, ancient trees, and beautiful scenery surrounding Kunming Lake while learning about China’s royal history.
