• The Dazu Rock Carvings - Today, visitors will embark on a full-day tour of Dazu County, exploring the Baodingshan and Beishan areas. The guide will meet them at 08:30 in the hotel lobby. This region is renowned as the birthplace of the remarkable Dazu rock carvings, which were crafted from the late Tang dynasty (618~907) to the early Song dynasty (960~1127).

With a focus on Buddhism, the Dazu cliffside carvings are spread across Beishan, Baodingshan, Nanshan, Shimenshan, and Shizhuanshan. The day will be spent visiting the Baodingshan carvings, situated approximately 527 meters above sea level. This site primarily includes the Dafowan and Xiaofowan rock carvings areas.

The U-shaped Dafowan features around 10,000 Buddha statues carved into a 500-meter cliff. It is considered a long narrative mural with extensive commentary and no repeated content. After the tour, guests will be driven back to their Chongqing hotel.

• Baoding Mountain Carved Stone - Today, the guide will accompany guests on a tour of the well-preserved Baodingshan Carvings. Green buses provide direct transportation to Baodingshan. Visitors will observe mountain cliffs densely adorned with Buddhist and Taoist statues, as well as notable figures from the late Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). They can explore at their own pace to closely appreciate the valuable grotto art. Following the tour, a delightful lunch will be served at an upscale restaurant, offering a taste of authentic Chongqing cuisine. After a brief rest, guests will be transported back to the Beishan site for further exploration of the Dazu Rock Carvings.

• Dazu Rock Carvings Beishan Site - After a 30-minute drive from the Baodingshan area, the tour will reach the Beishan site, located 2 km north of Dazu County, Chongqing. Carving began here in 892 during the Tang Dynasty and continued through the Five Dynasties to the Southern Song Dynasty. The entire project spanned 250 years, resulting in over 10,000 Buddha statues at Fowan, Yinpang Slope, Guanyin Slope, Beita Temple, Foer, and other locations. The most concentrated collection of statues is at Fowan, which contains 290 grottoes. On the 300-meter-long, 7-meter-high cliff, there are 6 upright stone tablets, 55 prefaces and statue inscriptions, 8 Jingchuangs, 1 intaglio, and 264 grottoes.
