Journey to Debre Libanos

The allure of Ethiopia has always been irresistible to me, with its rich tapestry of history and culture woven into the very fabric of its landscapes. This time, my journey took me to Debre Libanos, a place that promised not only a deep dive into the heart of Ethiopian Christianity but also a chance to witness the breathtaking beauty of its natural surroundings. As a wildlife photographer, the prospect of encountering the endemic Gelada baboons was an added thrill.

The drive from Addis Ababa to Debre Libanos was long, but the company of our guide, Alex, and driver, Atsede, made it a journey to remember. Their warmth and knowledge turned the ride into a fascinating introduction to the region. Exploring the Monastery
