A Private Encounter with History

As a former professor of European history, the allure of Delos, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was irresistible. My wife and I, along with a group of friends, embarked on the Delos & Rhenia Islands Sailing tour, eager to explore the ancient ruins of Delos and the serene beauty of Rhenia. The journey began at Tourlos Bay, where we boarded the S/Y Aeolus, a yacht that promised both adventure and tranquility.

The early morning sail to Delos was a serene experience, the gentle waves lapping against the hull as we approached the island. Arriving before the crowds, we had the rare opportunity to explore the ruins in solitude. Walking through the remnants of temples and ancient marketplaces, I could almost hear the echoes of the past.
