Best thing we did in Greece! - Private Tours Greece was super helpful and accommodating…helped us modify this trip so that it was a 3-day/2-night excursion. Their communications were timely and clear and the pricing was transparent and easy to pay. The trip was the Perfect balance of driving and stopping for tours. Because it was a private tour the mood was very relaxed and we didn’t feel rushed and could explore everything as long as we wanted. This was important because our family of 4 women have very different energy levels with some always on the move and others not so much. Our guide, Panagiotis, was delightful, very knowledgeable, excellent driver, flexible, helpful, and really helped our family have the best time. I was nervous about spending extra money for a private tour when cheaper bus tours go to the same places, but I’m really glad I did as it was just the perfect time for our family. Also the hotels and food places were great…especially the taverna in the town near Meteora. The only thing I would change would be to bring a swimsuit so we could dip into the hot springs near the Spartan battleground. Loved the whole trip!

Great personalized tour experience for a small group! - We were very impressed and completely satisfied with our Classical Greece tour from Athens to Delphi and Meteora Monasteries (the highlight of our entire vacation), with 2 overnights. The van for 6 people was comfortable and managed all our luggage. George our driver was fantastic, recommending excellent restaurants and pointing out interesting things along the way. We felt like he was just part of our travel group by the end! The guides pre arranged at each stop were very good and everyone was on time. The hotels were both 4-5 stars. We thought it was an excellent value and would highly recommend using this tour company. All correspondence was promptly answered.

Highly Recommended - We had an excellent experience. We took the risk of booking from the internet without any personal recommendations other than what we read on Tripadvisor, and we weren't disappointed. At all times Private Tours Greece was responsive to our questions via email and Whatsapp; and when the driver (to pick us up) was slightly delayed because of road works, they were quick to keep us informed, which was very much appreciated. The car was late model sedan and very comfortable. The driver's English was good, as was his company, and efforts to keep us happy were paramount. We also opted to have private guides at both Delphi and Meteora which was well worth the extra expense. Be warned that some of the monasteries at Meteora have a conservative dress code which excludes shorts for men and bear limbs for women. They will provide suitable over-clothing at the entrances, but for comfort (and style) we recommend wearing your own clothes. Also, it is a long way from Athens, so be prepared for many hours on the road... not the tour company's fault, just the reality.

Great experience! - A phenomenal trip! Our driver, Theo, was awesome. He was fun, respectful and made sure we are always settled and safe from the first pick up to our final destination. We elected to have guides and we’re glad we did. It added context to all we witnessed.

Wonderful tour from Athens with fantastic driver - We are so glad to have booked this two day tour from Athens. I was worried that it would be to much but really wanted to see both Delphi and Meteora so I went ahead and booked it. It turned out to be a real highlight of our trip. Breaking it up into two days made it very enjoyable. We opted for a guide in Delphi and Meteora and were thankful we did, as they offered information we would have missed. Our driver, Manolis, was fantastic!! He knew great places to stop along the way for coffee and lunch. He pointed out areas of interest and the pace of the trip was perfect. His command of the English language was excellent. We all left feeling like we were saying goodbye to a good friend. It really was a memorable experience that I would highly recommend!!

Great package - The driver picked up at Piraeus Port where we had just disembarked from the Celebrity Apex maiden voyage cruise. We opted not to visit the museum in Thebes and headed to Delphi. There, after a delightful lunch we went to meet our guide to tour the archeological site Temple of Apollo and the Delphi museum. This guided part, which was extra and not part of the paid package, was worth the money. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable on Greek culture, archeology and arts. Due to the unusually hot day, only 2 out of 6 of us followed the guide up to the Temple of Apollo; and it was worth it. After that, our driver drove us to visit the Castalia Spring prior to heading to Meteora. This was when our driver got lost and added a tad over an hour to the trip. Before reaching our beautiful boutique hotel Iridanos, the driver took us to see the spectacular sunset of Meteora. The next day, our driver took us to meet our tour guide to visit 2 of the best monasteries, the Monastery of St. Stephan and the Holy Monastery of Great Meteoro. Boy! They are spectacular and our funny guide was exceptionally knowledgeable. Afterward, our driver took us back to Athens. On the way, we stopped to admire the statue of Leonidas & had lunch Sofades. This was a great, tour package which would’ve gotten a 5-star review had our driver been able to communicate with us in English. Nevertheless, we highly recommend Private Greece Tours and this package.

Not worth the title of private tour - Most private tours charge higher price for luxury car and private service. but they only sent us a regular car , Very uncomfortable for 4 adults off cruises with 4 big luggage . Not worth the price they charge.
