Pura Jagatnatha - Built in 1953, Jagatnatha Temple is dedicated to the supreme god, Sanghyang Widi Wasa. The name Jagatnatha comes from the Sanskrit word ‘jagat,’ meaning world. The temple hosts two lunar-based festivals each month, on the full moon and new moon, making these times particularly memorable for visits. Regardless of when you visit, you will always find devotees in prayer at this magnificent temple.
Bali Provincial State Museum (Negeri Propinsi Bali) - Strategically located on Jalan Major Wisnu in the heart of Denpasar City, the Bali Museum is near the grand Jagatnatha Temple to the north and the famous Puputan Badung (Badung Courtyard) and Catur Muka Statue to the west. The museum spans 2,600 m² and is divided into three courtyards: the outer yard (jaba), middle yard (jaba tengah), and inner yard (jeroan), all enclosed by a wall and gate. Within the grounds are three buildings—Tabanan, Karangasem, and Buleleng—housing antique collections. Officially opened to the public on December 8, 1932, the museum was initially managed by the Bali Museum Foundation. On August 17, 1945, it was taken over by the Provincial Government of Bali and later, on January 5, 1965, it came under the Central Government’s Directorate General of Education and Culture Ministry, being renamed the Bali Province State Museum.
