The cooking classes are often held in family compounds or open-air kitchens, allowing participants to enjoy the relaxed coastal ambiance that makes Sanur so appealing. If the market tour option is chosen, the day begins with a visit to a local traditional market in Sanur. After the market visit, participants return to the cooking venue to start preparing several traditional dishes. With expert guidance, they learn authentic techniques such as grinding spices with a mortar and pestle and preparing Bali’s renowned spice paste, Base Gede (Balinese spice blend).
