• Swanaford Vineyard - Guests will be warmly welcomed by Molly, Tim, Caroline, or Ben at the tasting barn. They will lead a guided tour through the 10,000 vines planted in this stunning Dartmoor valley location. The team will explain the grape-growing process on Dartmoor and the challenges encountered. After the tour, visitors return to the barn to taste all of the wines while the hosts discuss the winemaking process.

A tour of Swanaford Vineyard offers guests an intriguing look into grape cultivation and winemaking in England. Participants will stroll through the vineyard, observing the five grape varieties grown on-site, such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, which are the classic champagne grapes. Visiting in the spring provides the opportunity to witness the vines awakening from winter dormancy, with new shoots appearing on the freshly pruned vines. During the peak of summer or early autumn, expect abundant growth and, naturally, grapes! The vineyard is nestled in a picturesque valley within Dartmoor National Park, surrounded by stunning countryside.

Group sizes are intentionally kept small to ensure each guest enjoys a comfortable and engaging experience. Our guides are highly knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly. We encourage questions and are delighted to discuss all aspects of vineyard management and winemaking.
