The Dhampus trek in Pokhara is a brief yet rewarding journey to experience the Himalayas from Pokhara. This trek features two renowned viewpoints: Dhampus and the Australian Camp. Dhampus is celebrated for its stunning Himalayan vistas and is a well-known area for the Gurung people, an ethnic group in Nepal. On the first day in Dhampus, trekkers can immerse themselves in the traditional villages, culture, and lifestyle of the Gurung community.

The following day, a short trek leads to the Australian Camp, a serene location perfect for an overnight stay. It boasts a large playground with swings and ample space for camping. Trekkers can enjoy playing football, volleyball, or badminton with the trekking crew or family members. After breakfast the next morning, a private vehicle transports trekkers back to Pokhara. For those with limited time, the Dhampus trek is an ideal two-day adventure.
