Diani Beach / Mombasa to Taita Hills Saltlick

Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - Day 1: Journey from Diani/Mombasa/Watamu/Malindi to Tsavo East/Taita Hills Saltlick
The driver guide will collect guests promptly at 6:00 am from their hotel or the airport, traveling along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway to Tsavo East. A brief 25-minute stop will be made at a carving shop for a restroom break, a cup of tea or coffee, and an opportunity to purchase carvings. The journey continues to Tsavo East National Park, arriving at Bachuma Gate by 9:30 am. The game drive begins immediately, offering sightings of Red Elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, various bird species, and more. A stop at Aruba Dam will allow guests to observe animals quenching their thirst. At 12:30 pm, check-in at Voi Safari Lodge/Lion Hill Lodge or a similar venue for lunch. Afterward, a one-hour drive to Taita Hill Sanctuary will lead to a second game drive until 6:00 pm. Dinner and overnight stay will be at SALTLICK LODGE.

Day 2: Saltlick to Ngutuni Game Sanctuary / Mombasa/Diani/Malindi/Watamu Beach

Diani Beach - An early morning third game drive will take place before breakfast, followed by a return to Saltlick Lodge for a full breakfast. After breakfast, guests will proceed to Ngutuni Game Sanctuary for lunch. The return journey to the beach hotel will commence after lunch, with arrival expected in the evening.

Awaken to stunning vistas of the Taita Hills as animals congregate around the lodge’s waterholes. Following an early morning game drive in the Salt Lick Conservancy, savor breakfast and proceed with a leisurely mid-morning safari along the way. Subsequently, travel to Ngutuni Game Sanctuary, renowned for its rugged terrain and superb opportunities to see elephants, lions, giraffes, and diverse bird species.

After lunch, the day concludes with a picturesque return trip, culminating a fulfilling safari adventure in two distinct wildlife regions.
