Mekong Delta is known as The Nine Dragon river delta since it is formed by nine rivers. The background of this area is the largest site of endless paddy rice fields, coconut farms, tropical fruit gardens. It is very easy for you to catch sight of children riding on the back of the water buffaloes and farmers working on the fields.

Highlight of our visit to HCMC - Amazing full day tour with just the right amount of information provided throughout the day by our fantastic guide Luna. Even if you don’t want to actually go down into the tunnels it’s still worthwhile as going into the tunnels is only a small part of it. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent experience! - Excellent experience! Great value for the price considering how many activities were included. The tour guide was very friendly and fun, which made the whole experience even better. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend this tour if you’re in Ho Chi Minh City. Cuchi tunnels and Mekong Delta trip - Hubert was an outstanding guide during our trip. He was very well organized, carried everything we needed, and looked after us attentively. He made our visit to the Cuchi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta truly memorable, even treating us to local specialties like snake wine. His professionalism and care made this journey one of the most enjoyable we’ve ever had. We would love to travel with him again and explore more beautiful corners of Vietnam!

Great cu chi tunnels and Mekong delta excursion - It was an amazing experience, bob was great and all the activities were so fun and interesting. Would really recommend booking this for the cu chi tunnels and Mekong delta experience. Especially loved the boat excursions.

A family not quite, but at least it was nice to look at! - The experience itself was great! Trying to explore the Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta in a single day is a big ask, but perfect for anyone who's strapped for time. The price for the tour itself is fine, but careful probably about the quality of the tour guide. While the guide we followed had a great script, the moments to create intimacy and really tailored to the group were not.
Many times I've felt the guide was moving from point A to point B, and didn't bother to engage with their audience. An example was during meal times. Some asked questions about what was their meal, what kind of tea, but that was left unanswered because ours wasn't there to tell. Same in the car, while we had played historic context videos, the TV system wasn't used for anything else. What about some music ? Trying to do karaoke ? Show some videos of what it's like today for the locals ?
The tipping culture wasn't really explained either, especially towards the locals. A bit of transparency would've been nice, and gathering sympathy for them too. With a generic "please show your appreciation", but the baskets returned empty, it didn't really work well to leave a good impression did it ?
Else, the content of the tour hit all the classic spots that's expected of the area! Crafts, Vietnam War, Dining, Mekong River facts, bees, coconut and boat rides. Despite being guarded, our tour guide did take great pictures and made sure to them to all of us individually. I wonder if a group could've been made though, so all of us could've shared ours with the others.
In the end, it was a bit of an estranged family trying to connect with each other, missing by sometimes, but at least it was in a beautiful environment.
