Departing Broome, we track North over the King Sound, Walcott Inlet, Harding Range, Prince Regent River, landing at Mitchell Plateau. On arrival, drive through the vast ancient Livistona Palm forest to the Mertens campground for your helicopter scenic transfer to the Mitchell Falls. After exploring the falls, a refreshing swim and many photo opportunities, enjoy a return helicopter scenic flight over the Mitchell Falls and Mertens Gorge and be transferred back to the campsite. Enjoy refreshments before the flight to Broome. On the homeward flight, we track the coast past Kuri Bay, and the beautiful Montgomery Reef. Fly over Horizontal Waterfalls. Breathtaking day to the amazing Mitchell Falls - Had an amazing day with Adam, our pilot and tour guide. We stated the day early in the morning from Drystale River (you can spare the rough unsealed road to Michell Falls… ) to Michell Plateau with a 30-Minute scenic flight, then with a car to the campground and finally a hike to the amazing Michell Falls 😊. After spending some hours in the region, we had some possibilities to take refreshing swims in the river…. On the way, we also saw some aboriginal art sites. The day ended with a short helicopter flight back to the campground, then by car to the Michell Falls airstrip and back to Drystale with another 30-Minute scenic flight. I‘d like to point out especially our amazing and passionate tour guide Adam, he did a great job!

A special day and well worth the money ! - Wow, what a day?! Our expectations were high, and Air Kimberley managed to exceed them. From the initial booking, Air Kimberley staff were very organised and kept us well informed up until the day of the trip. All staff were friendly and professional.
I won't repeat the brochure details, but everything in there was covered exactly as described. The views were spectacular, and it was particularly appreciated (and essential) that both the helicopter and plane flew to ensure that passengers on both side of the aircraft experienced the best views.
A special mention for our pilot Blake. He was first class and played a big part in making the day so enjoyable. His mix of professionalism, expertise, friendliness and humour were very much appreciated.

Brilliant trip from Drysdale Station flight, 4WD, hike, swim and heli with Adam - I’ve waited a long time to do this trip and was worth the wait. Adam was our pilot and tour guide and did a brilliant job getting us there and back with his mantra of safety 1st. He showed us some incredible indigenous paintings which I wouldn’t have found without him. He also promised fabulous shady spot for lunch with a view of the falls and it was amazing. Just when i thought the day couldn’t get better… a helicopter over the falls and back to the ground. Met lovely people too. Overall a great day. Thanks Adam

pilot was amazing and very knowledgeable! - I recently had the incredible opportunity to take a 2-hour scenic flight over Mitchell Falls, and it was nothing short of amazing — all thanks to our phenomenal pilot! From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel both exciting and completely safe.
Aidans commentary throughout the flight brought the landscape to life — pointing out key landmarks, sharing fascinating local history, and helping us truly appreciate the vast beauty of the Kimberley from above. The flight path was well thought out, giving us stunning, uninterrupted views of Mitchell Falls, the coastline, and surrounding wilderness.
What really stood out was the pilot’s passion for the region. You could tell they love what they do, and that energy made the whole experience even more special. Smooth flying, breathtaking scenery, and a pilot who went above and beyond — I couldn’t have asked for a better flight.

Mitchell Falls a must climb up your Bucket List - What a day! The Air Kimberley Team were outstanding. They picked us up from our hotel and took us to the Airport. From there on we were treated to an amazing trip. Aaron, our pilot was amazing. He kept us engaged and informed throughout the entire journey. We also had a short but breathtaking ride with Max our Helicopter pilot. No doors on the chopper. On the way to the Falls both Aaron and Max highlighted the key natural landscapes along with the history of the area, including indigenous history and location of their communities. At the Falls, we were guided to the best vantage points along with a light lunch and a swim at the top the falls. This was was a highlight.
It didn't stop there, the flight back along the coast was incredible. The Kimberley coastline is as unique as anything you will ever see ... anywhere. This along with whale, shark and turtle spotting made the day complete. At the end The Air Kimberley team treated us to celebratory drinks and photos. What a day!

The day was full with lots of fun , adventure , beautiful scenery , great food

Aiden the pilot - Aidan the pilot was so good. He explained everything very well. He was very knowledgeable about the area. Made sure that all personnel had a good view of all the attractions the he took us over. Very friendly and easy to talk to.
