- Lorne - The morning tea break is in the charming village on the Erskine River, offering a variety of cafes, bakeries, or a pleasant walk along the bay. Lorne is also famous for its large colonies of Cockatoos (large parrots).
- Great Ocean Road - After leaving Lorne, the journey continues along the cliff faces and escarpments of the Great Ocean Road, stopping at the best available photo spots.
- Apollo Bay - Arriving in Apollo Bay for a lunch break, with its 3km long beachfront, provides the chance to explore this fishing village at your leisure. Consider dining at the local hotel, sampling local seafood at various cafes, or bringing your own lunch to enjoy on the beach.
- Great Otway National Park - The park features Mountain Ash and Californian Redwood forests adorned with ferns, complemented by sea views of the Southern Ocean as the route winds towards the Shipwreck Coast.
- Gibsons Steps - Consider descending to this stunning beach. Be awed by the 70-meter high vertical cliffs and admire Gog and Magog, the names given to the giant limestone stacks rising from the sea. (This is optional for those who prefer not to take the steps.)
- Twelve Apostles - Visit the Twelve Apostles visitor center and take the short trail to the windswept lookouts to witness the dramatic sight of waves crashing against the iconic sea stacks.
- Loch Ard Gorge - Loch Ard Gorge is the site of the most renowned shipwreck on the aptly named Shipwreck Coast.
With beach access currently closed, the exploration focuses on the cliff-top lookouts of the gorge and Mutton Bird Island.
