- The Pearl Island - A Riviera-style artificial island developed in an exclusive area of Doha. It stands as the Middle East’s most prestigious address, spanning 400 hectares of reclaimed land and marking Qatar’s first international urban development project.
The name “The Pearl” was selected because the island is constructed on one of Qatar’s former major pearl diving sites. Historically, Qatar was a leading pearl trader in Asia until the Japanese introduced more affordable pearls just before Qatar’s oil boom. The Pearl-Qatar symbolizes Qatar’s rich heritage in the pearl industry, resembling a string of pearls.
- Lusail - Lusail is a planned city in Qatar, situated on the coast in the southern part of the Al Daayen municipality. Located approximately 23 kilometers north of Doha’s city center, just north of the West Bay Lagoon, Lusail covers over 38 square kilometers and will eventually have the infrastructure to support 450,000 people. Of these, it is estimated that 250,000 or fewer will be residents, 190,000 will be office workers, and 60,000 will be retail workers.
- Souq Waqif - Built on the site of Doha’s century-old trading market along the banks of the Wadi Musherieb, Souq Waqif feels like a step back in time, especially against the backdrop of Doha’s striking modern skyline. With its mud-daubed buildings, the market evokes a bygone era while remaining a bustling hub where commerce and conversation thrive.
- The Corniche - One of Doha’s most iconic attractions, the Doha Corniche is a seven-kilometer stretch of beautiful promenade overlooking the tranquil waterfront.
- Museum of Islamic Art - The Museum of Islamic Art is a prestigious institution located in Doha, Qatar. Designed by architect I. M. Pei, this iconic museum houses a vast collection of Islamic art and artifacts spanning over 1,400 years. Its breathtaking architecture and rich exhibits make it a must-visit destination for those interested in Islamic culture and history.
