Great trip with wonderful views led by an amazing guide Hadi - Hadi, our guide, took me and my mom on a half-day tour to Purple Island, remnants of old fishing villages, Olafur Eliasson Installation, Al Zubara Fort, and an archeological site near the fort. The ride was very comfortable, and Hadi provided a description of each location we visited, which was very helpful. One thing that particular stroke me was how green Qatar is outside of Doha and how much effort was made to plant and maintain all the trees. Overall, the tour was a very nice finishing touch to a seven-day stay my mom had here, as we had explored most of Doha by that time and wanted to see the rest of Qatar. The tour is totally recommended if you want to see and feel Qatar outside of Doha.

A good 6 hours on the road - We started at the Zekreet Rock Formations, a stunning showcase of nature’s artistry. The unique, wind-carved limestone formations stood like sculptures in the desert, offering breathtaking views and a sense of serenity. Walking amidst these natural marvels felt like stepping into another world. Our next stop was the Musfur Sinkhole, a captivating geological site. The descent into the sinkhole revealed layers of fascinating rock formations. The peaceful atmosphere and the sheer depth of this hidden wonder made it an unforgettable experience. Finally, we visited the East-West/West-East art installation by Richard Serra. The towering steel plates rising from the desert floor were mesmerizing, blending seamlessly with the vast landscape. The installation’s scale and simplicity created a powerful contrast, inviting reflection and awe in equal measure. Special thanks to our guide, Mohammed, who was instrumental in making this trip smooth and enjoyable. While he wasn’t overly talkative, his sweet and no-nonsense approach ensured we had all the time and space to absorb the beauty around us. This trip was a perfect mix of natural beauty and contemporary art. A must-do for anyone seeking a unique and enriching experience in Qatar!
