We will visit the Amber Museum, an excellent example of Victorian architecture that houses a unique collection of valuable samples of Dominican amber. Experts say that this amber, known for being the most transparent in the world, qualifies as semi-precious. Formed from tree sap that has hardened over millions of years, capturing many plant and insect fossils. We will also have a stop at the Rom factory, cigar factory, Sombrella Street, Rosada Street or Paseo de Doña Blanca, Chichigua Street, Shopping, Surbenir, Historic Center, San Felipe Fortress, Panoramic View, Cathedral, Restaurant and Beach, We will also show you the residential areas of beautiful house with panoramic view and the beach and if you want to go to a restaurant to eat automatic Dominican or foreign food we will also take it
- It is accessible in a wheelchair but we do not have a ramp for the wheelchair that uses the battery only the wheelchair that closes because we have no ramp to climb there is a traveler through the ramp
- If people cannot move their legs please notify before the reserve because we don’t have much wheel chair beiculo

Great Tour, Great guide - Pretty impressive tour. Was only my wife and I with Melanie our driver/tour guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and several times asked what else we would like to see. It seemed like she knew everyone in town as we walked around town center. Great tour and great guide! It was only the 3 of us so a very personal tour

Amazing private tour of the city! - We booked a private tour and it was one of the best tours that we have ever been on! Rigo and Jose made sure that we saw every sight and we felt like celebrities touring the different places with them. I have a mobility cart (lightweight/compact) and they were attentive to how we could get to each place and loaded unloaded when needed. This was a fabulous tour and much less than what the cruise line offered but was private with only my wife and I. Highly recommend!

Fantastic tour of Puerto Plata - Rigo was great. His van was new and clean. It had great air conditioning and WiFi. He knew the city and had so many unique facts. It was a great excursion we stopped and took photos when we wanted and the planned stops were great. I would highly recommend Rigo and would definitely use him again should I be in the Dominican Republic again

A great tour in DR - We had such a wonderful time. Very polite and knowledgeable of the area. Rigo takes amazing photos for us and took us the interesting places that you would not get from the “cruise” tour. Highly recommended

Amazing day in Puerto Playa with Rigo - Rigo and his son were such wonderful tour guides. Communication was clear and we weee picked up at the promptly at the port in a pristine van stocked with cold water and Gatorade. There were 8 of us and he tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted to do. I recommend him for all your DR travel needs. So much nicer than a cruise tour. It was a private leisurely tour.

Puerto Plata City Tour with Carlos Pena from Amber Cove Cruise Port - We arranged a city tour of Puerto Plata from the Amber Cove Cruise Terminal with Carlos Pena (email: carlospena_60@hotmail.com or mobile number: 829-520-9940). Carlos met us at the taxi pick up area and took us to see Puerto Plata sights. We told him we wanted tropical fruits and fresh coconuts and Carlos took us to a fruit stand for coconut drinks, mangoes, and other tropical fruits. If you're cruising to Puerto Plata, don't hesitate to contact Carlos as his rates are a fraction of what the cruise lines charges for city tour. Carlos was able to accommodate our group of 7 comfortably.

The ONLY Tour to Take in Puerto Plata - We booked the Puerto Plata City tour and had Alfredo as our guide. Alfredo took us on a fantastic tour. He was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. He gave us just the right mix of history, local information and could really sing. Our tour took us to Macorix rum, Del Oro chocolate, and another chocolate store, all of which had generous and very tasty samples. We saw pink street, umbrella street, the fortress, and the church. This tour and Alfredo really gave us a little of everything!! We got to have pictures with a little monkey and Macaw, fresh coconut water from the vendor by Central Park, empanadas, dancing at the rum factory, shopping and more!! My family and I highly recommend this tour and Alfredo. Alfredo can also take great pictures!!

Best possible tour of the city of Puerto Plata - Very friendly tour guide who was also great at sharing information on the history and culture of the town. Also what was amazing was that we had the choice on what we did and it wasn’t a fixed plan that couldn’t be adapted to what we wanted

Our family enjoyed our city tour with Rigo and Leonel. Best family memories of our trip were touring with Rigo. - Day #3 of our Family Cruise. Dominican Republic: I planned a local driver to take us on a city tour of Amber Cove. We were going to stop by the children's home and drop off a gift, but they were gone on a holiday trip. So I left it with Rigo the driver to drop off later.
Rigoberto Reyes was easy to find at the end of the pier after we got off the ship. He had a new 15 passenger van with air conditioning that we traveled in from 10am to 3pm. He took us to umbrella street, Amber museum, and the beach. My kids got to hold an iguana and a parrot. I told them to quit going up to the venders because they are looking for tips to hold them. Rigo even stopped by a local fruit vender for a snack.
My parents came along for their 80th birthdays. My mom uses a walker and Rigo was so helpful making sure she got in and out of the van safely. He knew a lot of facts about the city making it an interesting drive. My Dad is a Veteran. Rigo showed us the retirement community of veterans and drove by the VA hospital. Dad said he's not ready to move out of Ohio, though.
This tour ended up being the best part of our vacation thanks to Rigo and his partner. Thanks.
