We will visit the Amber Museum, an excellent example of Victorian architecture that houses a unique collection of valuable samples of Dominican amber. Experts say that this amber, known for being the most transparent in the world, qualifies as semi-precious. Formed from tree sap that has hardened over millions of years, capturing many plant and insect fossils. We will also have a stop at the Rom factory, cigar factory, Sombrella Street, Rosada Street or Paseo de Doña Blanca, Chichigua Street, Shopping, Surbenir, Historic Center, San Felipe Fortress, Panoramic View, Cathedral, Restaurant and Beach, We will also show you the residential areas of beautiful house with panoramic view and the beach and if you want to go to a restaurant to eat automatic Dominican or foreign food we will also take it
- It is accessible in a wheelchair but we do not have a ramp for the wheelchair that uses the battery only the wheelchair that closes because we have no ramp to climb there is a traveler through the ramp

Our family enjoyed our city tour with Rigo and Leonel. Best family memories of our trip were touring with Rigo. - Day #3 of our Family Cruise. Dominican Republic: I planned a local driver to take us on a city tour of Amber Cove. We were going to stop by the children's home and drop off a gift, but they were gone on a holiday trip. So I left it with Rigo the driver to drop off later.
Rigoberto Reyes was easy to find at the end of the pier after we got off the ship. He had a new 15 passenger van with air conditioning that we traveled in from 10am to 3pm. He took us to umbrella street, Amber museum, and the beach. My kids got to hold an iguana and a parrot. I told them to quit going up to the venders because they are looking for tips to hold them. Rigo even stopped by a local fruit vender for a snack.
My parents came along for their 80th birthdays. My mom uses a walker and Rigo was so helpful making sure she got in and out of the van safely. He knew a lot of facts about the city making it an interesting drive. My Dad is a Veteran. Rigo showed us the retirement community of veterans and drove by the VA hospital. Dad said he's not ready to move out of Ohio, though.
This tour ended up being the best part of our vacation thanks to Rigo and his partner. Thanks.

Fun and Worth it/Divertido y vale la pena - Augustine was great, very charismatic, knowledgeable , and accommodating. Our family will come back to tour with Augustine

The most amazing tour guide in all the Caribbean - Rigo‘s tour made our trip the most amazing family experience that we will never forget. Our cruise included stops in Puerto Rico, Grand Turks, and Dominican Republic. By far, our favorite stop was Dominican Republic due to the hospitality of Rigo and his group. We toured the entire city with highlights at the Christ Redeemer statue, Pink Street, and the cigar factory. We received so much knowledgeable information and felt like we got to experience the true life experience of Dominican Republic. We were so impressed with his tour. We may go back to DR just to tour with Rigo again at other local sites. My family will always be indebted to his group to a wonderful family memory that we will always treasure. I would recommend anyone visiting this town to tour with Rigo, the mayor of Puerto Plata.

Dominican Republic city Tour - RIGO WAS AMAZING! Not only did he show us the beauty of the DR, he also educated us on the history! The monkeys are a MUST! Would definitely recommend this tour!!

Don’t think twice about it, these guys are the best! - We had such a great time in amber cove. Our tour guide was so nice and we had the best time. Our entire family was enjoying every bit of it!

Great all-round offer - Great trip! Everything seen in a short time (rum factory, cigar vine factory, amber museum) and the guide (Jesus) has taken you everywhere flexible and has responded to our wishes!

Cruise Amber Cove Tour - Rigo provided a wonderful tour for our group. We were able to customize what we wanted to see and where we wanted to go. Rigo was very knowledgeable and accommodating as we had someone with us with mobility issues. So our drop off’s and pick up’s were very easy at our tour stops. He remained with us all the time, except when getting the vehicle. There were never any safety concerns. Amber Cove was one of our Cruise ports. Communication with Rico was wonderful. Picked us up and dropped us off right at the Taxi stand. Just remember that the Dominican Republic is a hour ahead of eastern standard time. So we were late getting to him. But we had allowed enough time to still be able to do our tour and get back in plenty of time for ship departure. Would definitely use Rigo and his company again next time I’m in the Dominican Republic!

Highly recommend Rigo - 5 stars - My sister and I booked Rigo's services for a late morning/early afternoon trip around Puerto Plata since we stopped at Amber Cove (cruise ship port). We met Polo, our driver, outside the port - very easy. Polo gave us a great tour around the city and stopped at all the places we wanted, gave us a lesson in the agriculture and local food. He was super friendly and escorted us through the town as we shopped. As 2 single ladies, we were grateful to have him with us. We called him the celebrity - everybody knew him! He recommended a fabulous place for lunch and waited til we were done. Most importantly, we felt very safe with Polo. Thank you Rigo for getting us all setup and connecting us with Polo. It was a super fun day. The minivan had excellent AC and was very clean. We highly recommend Rigo and his team to handle your transportation needs in the DR.

Maud family cruise 2025 - Because we was a big group, we went with 2 vehicles. Both our tour guides were waiting for us. They gave us good explanation and also took us around to see places like the rum factory etc, we truly had an amazing time on the tour.
