Catastrophic excursion - The excursion should start at 07:00. Pickup time should be 7:50. We were picked up 8:20 a.m. We had booked in English. Only Spanish was spoken. The departure was finally 9:00 a.m. without a guide, only with the bus driver. After about an hour, he stopped at a parking lot. Sales tour. After 30 minutes we continued to the los tres ojos, where a guide who also spoke only Spanish stood. Afterwards we went to the first souvenir shop that nobody wanted. 45 min later we went to El Faro a Colon where we could not get off and just took a picture of the bus. Then we went to the Cathedral of Santo Domingos. The tour lasted about 30 minutes. Then we went to the next souvenir shop where people wanted to turn overpriced stones and other things into cheat packs. The whole thing took more than an hour. Even older people were taken off the buses and forced to go to the store. We didn't see anything of the Colonial Zone and the Alcazar de Colon. Lunch was cold and tasteless. I call this whole thing cheating. You don't stick to the offer and you also pull the money out of people's pockets. Never again. We booked through Get your Guide. Don't touch it. Better take a rental car and drive yourself.
