Authentic, great guide, great food - Kelly Clarkson was a phenomenal guide, we just arrived from our flight and jumped straight into the tour so we were hungry and ready to explore. The food was phenomenal as well as the explanations and stories of the food. Definitely felt very authentic, did not hit the main tourist area of the Beijing Hutons (which I still recommend as it’s also cool, but much more touristy). We were together for quite some time, her English and hospitality was awesome, and loved learning about the culture, and Beijing specific pallet history.

A Delightful Foodie Experience! - Kelly was an excellent guide so knowledgeable not only in food but the ancient history of the hutongs in Beijing. Without this tour, I would never have discovered the wonders of what the local eat and their delicacies. Worth the trip.

Great experience! - Lynn was a wonderful guide! We tried a great variety of foods, and I really appreciated that we got to taste things that Beijingers love — even if it might not necessarily suit the taste of foreigners! The best thing about the tour is that you walk around the city and keep ducking into tiny places that as a tourist you would never find. You get a great lay of the land both geographically and culinarily.

Great food, hidden venues - We had a group of 8 from all over the world. Our guide Winnie was fantastic. Very funny and very knowledgeable. The food was excellent at every place and we left incredibly full. Getting to visit the Hutongs was a great way to do something less touristy, and without a guide you’d never know the some of the eateries existed.

Delicious and memorable - We had a lovely morning walking the hutongs with Winnie, who set us up with some amazing jianbing, xiao long bao, and other 老北京 breakfast classics that you'll have to join the tour to discover. Highly recommended. You'll meet locals and fellow visitors to Beijing. Do not plan a lunch afterwards.

Great Food and Great way to Learn about Beijing! - This is such a good tour. The food is all delicious and it’s good to be shown around some different parts of Beijing. Winnie was my guide and she was incredible. She explained everything really well and has studied abroad so speaks great English. She gave us a lot of background and taught us about Beijing history and culture, as well as teaching us about the food we ate. It was also helpful to be able to ask questions about the food and culture (and simply how to get around). Definitely tried some things I wouldn’t have known to try. Highly recommend this tour.
