Characteristic experience. DA absolutely must do - Extraordinary, profound and enriching experience. Instructor Richard Lee conducts the course with great competence and sensitivity, guiding step by step even those who approach Chinese calligraphy for the first time. It starts DA an introductory meditation that helps to center and create the right mental space to work, and then moves on to the correct posture, a fundamental element for the fluidity of the stroke, and learning the first symbols and techniques. Each lesson is designed to harmoniously build the necessary skills, up to the realization of a final work that combines all the elements learned: a truly significant moment in which you perceive how much has been done, not only on a technical level, but also internally. Highly recommended.

Excellent calligraphy course – rigor, calm and meaning - The Chinese calligraphy course with Master Lee was truly amazing, both technically and personally. He teaches rigorously, but never puts pressure on, and each stroke is explained with clarity, attention and patience.
One of the most interesting things is the link between calligraphy and meditation. The slow rhythm, the concentration on gesture, the care of posture: everything contributes to create a collected, almost meditative atmosphere, without ever falling into mysticism. You work in silence, but it is not an empty silence: it is a space to observe, breathe and learn.
No need to have experience: just the desire to listen. I recommend this course to those looking for an activity that combines manual skill and attention.

Great time learning new skills - Learning water color painting was more difficult than I imagined but Li was very patient and helpful with lots of tips and practice so our final water color painted fans turned out great. This was our first activity after landing in Beijing and it was very relaxed and enjoyable.

Calligraphy is lots of fun! - The class was lots of fun and I learned a lot about the history of calligraphy and what what I was writing meant the hardest part was learning how to hold my brush. I still need practice on that I'm coming back!

Calligraphy is fun! - It's in a bookstore and it's air-conditioned and you get tea . You also get a history of calligraphy and how old the practice is. I learned a lot and it was lots of fun and I'm coming back
