About Jinshanling Great Wall:
The distance from Tian’anmen to the Jinshanling Great Wall parking area is 160 kilometers. An English-speaking driver will accompany visitors from the east gate of Jinshanling Great Wall. Upon reaching the Great Wall at the East Five Window Tower, visitors will walk westward along the Wall, enjoying the sunset views, and descend at the middle gate. The driver will part ways midway to retrieve the vehicle and meet visitors at the middle gate.
Visitors are expected to complete the hike independently, but there is no need to worry about getting lost as there is only one path along the Great Wall, with each tower’s name clearly marked in English. The entire hike spans approximately 7-8 kilometers and takes about 3-4 hours. The hike is somewhat challenging.
After witnessing the sunset and descending from the Great Wall, visitors will be picked up at the middle gate and driven directly back to the city. The return to the city is expected around 21:00-22:30, depending on the season, marking the end of the tour.
