[2.5 hours] The Essential Great Wall: Begin at the Mid Gate, follow the walking path to the Brick Crenel, then hike from Brick Crenel to Shalingkou. After visiting Shalingkou, return to the Mid Gate via the tourist walking path.

[3.5 hours] Great Wall of Photographers: Start at the Mid Gate, proceed along the walking path to the Brick Crenel, then hike from Brick Crenel to Xiaojinshan Tower. After visiting, take a one-way cable car from Xiaojinshan back to the Mid Gate.

[4.5 hours] The Must-sees of the Great Wall: Enter from the Mid Gate, follow the walking path to the Brick Crenel, then hike from Brick Crenel to the East Five-windows Tower. After visiting, follow the tourist walking path to the East Gate, then take a shuttle bus back to the Mid Gate.

The entire hike along the Great Wall takes approximately 4.5 hours. It is stunningly beautiful and an ideal destination for mountaineering enthusiasts.
The Jinshanling Great Wall is undoubtedly the most picturesque section of the Great Wall in China. Although it is close to Beijing, it is located in Hebei Province. The journey in one direction takes about 2 hours, while the Mutianyu Great Wall is about 1.5 hours away. The return trip might be delayed (taking around 2.5 hours) due to checkpoints. Apart from the distance, there is nothing to complain about.
